i really dont think GM would have a leg to stand on, the fact that they are hemi's means the heads are completely different. other than that, howmany ways can you really build a block in a production car?  most smallblocks anymore are pretty similar, you just tweak a few things here and there.

The new "Hemis" do not have the hemispherical combustion chambers that the old ones did. It's just a name used by DC marketing to sell vehicles.

Yep,

The New Hemi isn't really a hemi.

Would need to see rwhp/trq numbers to even have a good guess.... aside from that take it to the track and find out. I want to say yes but I've seen cars make great peak numbers and have nothing under the curve to get things done. I would say you have a shot considering you are ~200lbs lighter (was that full fuel weight?) and make ~350hp but your trans and open diff (along with the 3.23s) are going to hold you back.

I'd say you have a very good possibility if you don't send your tire up in smoke.

so from a dig, he would win, but from a roll, i would stand a better chance??

If you make that to the tires..I say you have it in the bag (save for having a 'one tire fire' incident )

An LS1 is making ~300rwhp and has a few hundred lbs on you...I don't see where you would have a problem from a dig or roll aside from traction.

Was the car dyno'd?  Or are you guessing?

What kind of 350 motor is this you have?  Dont the stock 350's that came in the 3rd gen's only dyno in the 200's, like low to mid 200's?

^The trap speeds look about right (same as mine when stock) but that 60 ft is KRAZY for factory stock!

my car started out life with a 3.1 v6, if bought a slightly used 350, and rebuilt it.  evidentally the guy who owned it before me had built the motor slightly.  it is a GM performance crate motor though

ok, i've got another question.  i was reading up online about the LS1, and i came across an article that said the LS1 was a joint venture between GM and Honda for the engine design, is this true??

No it's not true. I have a book that details the development and building of the LS platform. It was 100% a GM deal.
