Not sure if it's passed yet or if the cop just wanted to get on my case.. I few years ago I believe back in 03 I owned an import with a fart can in the back, and I got pulled over for it, and the officer told me that it "Was" Illegal to have an altered exhaust, not sure if he was referring to the state of mass or just the town in Marlboro, but apparently I got a verbal warning and told me to take it off or I'd get a $150.00 ticket the next time, but now that I own the Mustang I haven't gotten sh** from the police, Weird isnt it.. LOL... I hope that law doesn't come into effect, because that would be absolutly stupid, and I know a few of u have mentioned that aftermarket exhausts improve performance of the cars and they are sometimes built better than stock and what not. On a personal note, I think we should be able to do whatever we want to our cars as long as it isn't hurting anyone, then it shouldn't be a problem. Just my 2 cents.

quote:
ORIGINAL: kwikstanglx There is a new state law being voted on in Mass that would make it illegal to modify your exhaust in any way. THIS MEANS THE ONLY EXHAUST PARTS THAT YOU CAN HAVE AND NOT BREAK THE LAW ARE WHAT WAS ON THE CAR WHEN IT LEFT THE FACTORY! Here is where you can read about it in detail. http://musclemustangfastfords.com/hotnews/mmfp_0603_massachusetts_exhaust_bill/ that's pretty friggin rediculous, but at least it makes me happier to live in Colorado.
