A week ago I ordered my black V6 vert with red leather seats. It should be here in June. But I personal hate this rear spoiler and it seems that in Canada you will get it standard on the V6's. Although you can delete it on the GT's my dealer told me that it is not possible to delete it on my V6. He offered me to take the spoiler of and fill the 4 bolt holes then repaint, this will be professionally done, it should not be much more than $200. Or he is offering me a brand new (with no bolt holes) one with the paint to match for $750.

I really don't want to spend so much money on a delete option which is free of charge for the GT's. Any Canadian drivers around which can advise what to do?

Thanks, Jochen

I think your dealer is full of sh!t. The Mustangs are made in one factory in Dearborn, MI regardless of where they end up. It's a factory option, not a dealer one. He should be able to order it just fine without a spoiler.

P.S. - You could just take the stock one off and buy a new one (I'd get some sort of ducktail) that will fill the holes.

P.S.S. - Did you get the Pony Package on that thing? You better have!

Pictured below is my v6 mustang with the spoiler delete option. Yes its actually listed that way. Its not a convertable, but i doubt that makes much difference. I think your dealer is pumping you full of S*%# just to get $200 to $750 more out of you! Trust me, if you tell him that you will only buy if he takes the spoiler off at no extra cost, he will either order you one spoiler delete, or fix the one with the spoiler. Dont compromise on what you want, you will only regret it later and spend lots of money making it the way you wanted it to begin with!

Your dealer said you'll get it in June? I ordered one last month from YORKDALE FORD. I expect delivery sometime in April (6-8 weeks)

I ordered through Keltic Ford in Antigonish, Nova Scotia. And for delivery, Im currently back in Germany working on a project. So the dealer will keep it untouched on his lot until I will return at the end of June.
