I have a 4spd Toploader 4 sale. It is correct for a 1964 1/2, will work with later years. It has the narrow bolt pattern, however I wil include a bellhousing that will work with a 289 or 302. I bought it from a mechanic in Montana who rebuilds them. It looks brand spanking new. It is still in it's shipping case. If interested, I will post #s and pics. I am into it about $1,000. but will look at offers. josh_carothers@hotmail.com

I understand, $1000 is a lot of duckets. However, I am willing to take less. I don't know maybe I should try Ebay. Like I mentioned, I will consider any offers.
I bought another Toploader from David Kee Toploader ($1,550.) I had just received a big commission check and was feeling saucy. In hind sight, I wish I had just used the one i'm now trying to sell now. I know of absolutely nothing wrong with it and am certain it is in perfect condition ( the one I want to sell ). I am pretty sure I still have the name and number of the guy I bought it from and can pass the info on to you or anyone else. He and his father frequently sell on Ebay. If someone is serious about purchasing it, I would even be willing to take it to a transmission shop to have it checked out. You could choose which shop and talk with them yourself (via phone of course). Under the right circumstances, I would even be willing to guarantee it (if you are going to have a professional install it).
I am interested in a 4 speed, but like I said its a bit rich for my blood right now. I trust that its in good shape and all, but I need to focus on other stuff and stick with the ol 3 spd for a while. Good luck with your sale.
