Has this ever happened to you
3 times in five days my car has been acting funny. The first time it happened I was almost at work and waiting at a stop light. The car was running for approx. 20min. The only accessory I had on was the radio (not the CD player). I hear this pop through my speakers and all of my idiot lights go on and my car dies. The temp gage was half way between H & C. (so it wasn't an overheat problem). The car did start right back up no problems. I'm stupid and didn't order the IUP so I don't have the information center or the other 2 gages. The second time it happened while I was driving (for approx 10 min). I hear the same pop through my speakers and all of the idiot lights went on so I pulled over but the car never died and all of the lights went off, so I continued on my way. On that same trip about 15 minutes later I hear the same pop but the only light that went on was my security light. But, I was just turning into my destination so I continued to park my car. After I was done I get in the car and the raido controls are messed up. The station presets stayed but all of the other settings went back to default. Do you think it might be a short in the radio or a battery problem? I've had my C&L CAI for 3 months and I probably put about 2000 miles on the car so I don't think that is whats causing it, but I don't want to go to the dealer beacaue I would have to put my old air box in and factory tune. I could do a diagnostic with my diablo though, but I don't think this problems is related.
