Default '65 fastback I6 200 turbo project

Hey, I've owned 5 mustangs but always kept my '65 fasback I6 200. Im in the process of putting an intercooled turbo on the car. Fun project new to these forums and curious what people think of a turbo I6.

Sounds cool to me [8D] but a big V8 motor is always better. Are you putting the turbo together yourself or is there a kit for that motor?

im fabricating everything myself. And yes i agree a 289 would be nice, but im a college student (too poor for a 289) and I know turbos from supras i have owned so i can make cheap power.

That would be very interesting to be driving next to a '65 and hear the sound of a blow-off valve.

go for it! I remember back in the 80's before NHRA eliminated the Modified class that there were a lot of 6 cylinder gassers running and some of them were damn fast too! you can always come back later with a V-8 if you still want one! at least you won't have a problem getting everything under the hood with the inline 6!
