I got a few questions, i got the svo back and it is runnin fast...real fast
Well my first question is im only finding three prolbems with the car, number one is when Im coming to a turn and i downshift to second if the rpms end up sumewheere over 2k then when i puch the cluthc in to stop into a driveway or parkway or what not it dies. Anyone know why.

Second probelm is and i herad this goes for all fords but my power steering sounds lke **** whenever i turn man it get annoying. I am feeled up on it too.

3rd Prom. I have to run higher octane gas to elimate spark knock which im good with but since the first time i put it in my car the fuel pumps is always going and its not over fuelin that i know of btu liek when u jsut turn the key on, the nosie it makes, its doin the constintly, is this a probelm.

Thats its for the probelms but i got one more thing. I do not have a blow off value. But when im high up in 1st 2nd or 3rd and i let off or shift it blows off through the cone filter i got. Is this bad for it in anyway.

Thanks in advance for any help.

to the first one, try upshifting and then pull it out of gear. this'll put you at a lower rpm so it won't drop so many revs. our 2.3's dont like dropping rpms too fast or drastically or else they'll just die, im assuming cause theyre so weak they cant hold themselves up. another thing to try is to take it out of gear right as it hits idle rpm, and not push the clutch in right when you start to slow down. this also will slow down how fast it's dropping revs. basically you gotta make them drop gradually. try and coast as much as you can.

and for the fuel pump, worry when you dont hear it

your car should have a bpv from the factory...but if you have 300 hp, you turbo is pushing alot more air than stock, and it may be to much for the bpv...but im not sure? but if air is blowing threw your filter, that means it is traveling the wrong direction back out of your turbo...its not gonna last long at all

it will eventually hurt the turbo, just tightent the hose clamp. Do not install a BOV you need a byapass valve to redirect metered air back into the turbo inlet.

First off all u guys are wrong, there is no BPV factory. The boost is control by timing controls by a button on the dash. Or he should buy a boost controller.
The engine should not fall off like u say and die. My friends SVO is making over 400whp and runs like a top no driveability issues.

Whoever made the comment about the engine being weak you're the most wrong. This is by far the strongest most longevic engine in fords lineup. It will outlast ANY
ford engine hands down.

T3 AiReasearch Oil Cooled TURBO
Complete Tune Up (all motocraft parts)
RAM clutch kit
Sacramento Mustang 3inch down pipe
Gillis Boost Control Valve
K&N Cone Air Filter
K&N Breather
Performance Injectors (Brown top)
88 TURBO Coupe Top Mount Intercooler
Ranger Roller Cam and Followers
Alluminin Quadrant and Adjustable Clutch Cable
Off of the 3 inch done pipe to y pipe through two glass packs then tail pipes

These are your mods I read in another post. The injectors are killing your car. You have nothing to control them. Do u still have the stock computer and fuel rail/intakes no ACT?
I would strongly recommend a single dump for your exhaust instead of 2. There is a dyno proven difference trust me. The cam helps on top end but takes a slight amount away on bottom. Still the same roller lifters? One could be worn out which could cause a miss or the car to die. What spark plugs are u running? If they are platinum anythings throw them in the trash. The cause detonation pretty badly. The point of them is to burn hotter. The combustion chamber needs a slightly colder spark than our V8 Siblings due to the build up of heat due to compressed hot gasses of turbocharging. Go get NGK non platinum's 1 heat range colder than stock trust me you'll notice a difference.

ANYTHING U NEED HELP WITH LET ME KNOW.

first off i have a hard time believing you have a 4 cylinder 2.3L engine pushing 400 horses to the wheel. the SVO does have a small engine compared to the mustangs now but it is one of the strongest 4 cyclinders. the svo has its advantages in that it is extremely light and has many suspension advantages. i do agree that the svo is one of the best cars built by ford, but it was also built by the racing division ( not a normal mustang, many upgrades and ahead of its time)

theres an svo out here that runs 1/4's high 8's low 9's....if that don't have 400 horses, it'll still take out most rides that have 5

300 rwhp is relatively easy for an SVO.

400rwhp is definitely attainable, but with the right mods.
