Has anyone had a problem with water spots in the paint of their stang???? I have a 03 Black GT that has water spots in the paint..... and it's pissing me off. Any suggestions would be appreciated.
yea use a cleaner wax, you could do it by hand but you'd be pretty tired after doing the whole car, a buffer would definetly be easier. i personally like meguire's products.
I can't believe this. I bough tmy car 2 weks ago and now I am going to have to get a clay bar etc. What a PITA. Mine is black too. also I bought a leather chamois and I guess I was supposed to wet and wring it before using it because I jut used it new and dry and it left stuff on the car as well.
I have a black stang too. I was gonig to wax it today and couldnt get the waterspots off so I didnt. Should I go ahead and wax it? Are you saying that will take the spots off? I've just had the car two weeks. I don't nkow what caused the spots in the first place. I used a spraer with half distilled white vinegar and half distilled water. it worked. and looks new now again

I have used detailing clay on all my vehicles at this point. I would suggest clay to anyone with contaminants on paint. I would still use Meguiars paint cleaner, then polish, then polymer sealant, then(24-48 hrs. later) #26 yellow wax. But I love this stuff (detailing) and have a Porter-Cable DA polisher, so maybe that's a bit much for some. Later. S W

most of the time, it's hard water stains but sometimes a little dust just stays behind in the water droplets.
The only thing you can do to make sure you don't get them in the future is to use soft water and dry the car thoroughly.
That's the idea behind the mr clean autowash. I find that their soap leaves a film behind so i don't use it but I still use the filtered spray to rinse my car because it takes all the minerals out of the water.
Yellow wax is "pure" carnuba wax. It provides a very deep shine on any color car. I use it as a last step for a great "BLING". I like the Meguiars NXT generation tech wax sealant myself.
