He'll win because the auto looses way more hp to the rear wheels than a maunal. Now here's how to win as I noticed you have a tuner. Before you race, raise your idel rpms to 1200 rpms, this will give you 100% better off the line time, then raise your shift pressure to 30psi, Harv has his set to 40psi, but that ones up to you on how firm you want your shifts, then set your shift points to 4750 rpms because you'll always shift 500 rpms later than what you should while in the WOT, don't ask me why, but you do. Then set your WOT shift firmness to 120. If you do these mods, you "SHOULD" be able to beat his ass. Also, raising your spark advance by 2% or so wouldn't hurt, but be sure your're running 93 octane in there, but don't go any higher than 2% because you could wind up loosing hp, and could hurt your stock spark plug wires.

You've got him without those mods, IDK what Jthorn is saying. I ran a manual '98 Camaro RS that is driven by a kid that goes to my school, so you should be fine with those mods.

I'm thinkin it's a drivers race..Up the shift firmness on part throttle to 80 psi. Raise the rev limiter to 6250 rpm, like mine. I've taken 3.8 Crapmaros...
Whyat advantage he has wit the manual is deleted by being heavier.

Yea that's a start, raise that WOT firmness to 120, or mild shift, and you'll do good, don't forget to raise that idel rpm setting, if I drop mine back to stock I go from, 0-60 in 8.7s, to 0-60 in 9.5+seconds, it will make a drastic improvement in your off the line time and no, it doesn't cause you to burn that much more gas, maybe 1-3 gallons more, per tank, but it will cause you to ride the break in traffic or 25 mph zones.

must have been a 3.4, 3.8s are quick, weather its a 5 speed or 4L60-E auto, pretty much same times, and with a shift kit the 4L60-E is 100 times better then the stick.

im calling a drivers race.
