Hey Spartan,

How do you like the Magnaflow system on your car. I'm thinking of getting the 16605 System. Greak job on your bumper swap. I'm going with the Roush Stage 3 Nose and the GT rear bumper.

That's the exhaust I have on my stang and I love it! Sounds and looks great, got it for a little less than $490 shipped.

Magnaflows sound good up to about 4K RPMs. Any higher than that, I think it sounds ricey. But I got mine for $300 something, so I'm not about to complain.

And thanks! These instructions should work just fine for your Roush swap.

Have you installed the lower radiator shield? Have you found this to be necessary, or is it something that the installation can go without?

Nope, still dont have the shield on. Doesn't seem critical. Some say it keeps the lip from flapping in the wind, but the bumper seems so solid, I don't see how it could flap around..

I tried putting it on two seperate occasions but failed because I don't have the correct retainers. Kinda give up since.

One more question...have you connected your fogs? Do you know if the pony grill wires will work?

Fogs are not hooked up. I bought a wiring harness off ebay, unfortunately, it doesn't work with the GT factory switch... it comes with it's own switch. So, I might just toss it.

I hear it doesnt' work with the pony package harness.

hey spartan, i also got the magnaflow dual exhaust, it sounds great. but dont you think it sits a little low for the GT bump as well as for the V6 bumper. on top of that ever time you go over a rough bump it bounces up and hits the hanger mount rpoducing a god aweful noise. just wondering if you had the same problem.

For those of you who have the V6 Pony Package and are installing the GT front fascia...

If you have the Pony Package, your wiring harness and plugs WILL work with the GT grill and fogs. I repeat, THE PONY PACKAGE WIRING HARNESS AND PLUGS WILL WORK WITH THE GT FOG LIGHTS. There is an adapter that plugs into the pony grill fogs, and the wiring harness plugs into that. If you disconnect the wire directly from the fog light, that will not work with the GT fogs. Disconnect the plug before that. This will leave about a 6-inch long wire plugged into the pony fogs and attached to the grill, and then another plug coming from the wires under the hood. This wire still attached to the car plugs directly into the GT fogs without any issues.

Yeah, they were a little low. Got that fixed just recently. They heated up the metal and bent them up, then shot it with cold water. Found out really quick that the metal was now vibrating against the hangar so I went back so they could melt off a piece of the hangar for clearance.

And I know that clunk all too well. Going over a bump or a dip at anything over 15-20MPH and clunk!

This is how they look now:

I was delighted to stumble across this forum, and your bumper tutorial in particular. A recent encounter with a sign post after veering to avoid a deer gave me a new appreciation for such things!

Mine is a 2006 V6. I've located and purchased all replacement parts -- except the foam bumper isolator. Can't find it 'cept at a dealership ($$$). The '05 isolator is easy to find, though, and everything leads me to believe it's the same as the '06. Might you (or anyone else) know if the '05 isolator would fit my '06?

I ordered mine from FordParts.com and they don't even list parts for the 2006...I used the 2005 parts and everything worked fine. I'm pretty sure they are interchangeable!!
