So how much will the GT kit cost me in total. The only site that has the kit in its entirety is TheMustangHookUp.com but they dont have a price posted. Also how hard is it to install, I read the instructions a bunch of times and have them down pat, but I have never done bodywork in my life. I just dont want to do any damage to my Mustang. Thanks Guys!!!!!

Regarding the rockers and front facia. It's really easy. Spartan VI done a great job on this thread. I followed his instructions and had no problems. Only thing I changed was where he bolted the marker lights in place, I used 3/16 pop rivets. Just make sure you get all the other parts. The isolator and fender shields are a must. The deflector at the bottom is kinda up in the air. Spartan did not have his installed last I heard and he didn't see any adverse effects. I have mine installed and cant tell any difference. Happy modding.

Both websites sell the whole body kit you just have to call them for pricing.

Your pop rivets are probably better than my nuts and bolts.. I hope they never wiggle loose.. that'll be hell.

Still don't have the deflector on. I haven't been able to find the right screws/retainers to mount it to the radiator mount.

Give kevin a call at cleveanger ford. I just told him the project I was doing I needed everything to mount the deflector. He hooked me up.

I'm waiting for a rear GT bumper in windveil blue to be in at v6mustangstuff. While I'm waiting for that, figured I should ask how I go about mounting the bumper. I, like others, have had no body work experience, and aren't very sure of myself lol. What size nuts and bolts did you use to re-attach and such? Oh and sorry if this isn't making since. It's 4:44AM. My father and I had no experience either.

I really wish I could tell you what size nuts and bolts I used, but we didn't think of taking note of them. We kinda just shuffled through through the wide selection my father had until we found ones that fit.

On the rear cover I used 1/2 inch long by 1/4 wide bolts and nuts for the four holes along the harness assenbly in the back. The four at the ends ( 2 each side ) I used pop rivets with washers. I couldn't get my finger into the end to use nut and bolts.
Real easy job. Just read all of the advice started here.

Thanks for all the helpful advice.. The rear bumper definitely can be a 1 man job (body shop was going to charge $100 for doing it) .. I had mine done in about an hour & a 1/2. I found all the information useful. I found that the pop rivets were the way to go. they wouldnt fit in the original holes in the bracket so i just drilled 4 small holes through the bracket & bumper about a half inch from the original holes & pop rivetted it using the new holes. (worked like a dream) . The extra fastener on the bottom of the GT bumper doesnt have to be used but i just used a Ford body panel fastener & washer to hold it in place (The hole is too big for the fastener to catch so just ran it through a small washer to get it to hold. No need to order a special fastener) Now on to the JBA duals & headers. I dont have a lift so i guess i will break down & pay a mechanic for this job. Again thanks for all the helpful info. couldnt of done it without you.

P.S. I also bought a packet of Ford body panel fasteners ($3.99 at AutoZone to replace the ones you pull out.. didnt have to be done but new ones hold better)

Interesting...

Well V6MustangStuff STILL doesn't have my color in, so I'm thinking about dishing out the extra $50 and just getting it from Diversified. :x

EDIT: Yeah, just bought myself the bumper.... along with a honeycomb panel. I'm such a bad person. lol

Sorry sir, the V6 grille wont fit properly into a GT bumper. You can however purchase fog lamp bezels and a grille insert to make it look like the pony package.

Someone Here has a v6 with Roush Body kit all you need is the Roush Bumper and Gt grill, and the street scene wiring harness to make the fogs work.

VERY NICE PAUL! That Vista Blue rocks. Are you going to do the big stripe done the center with the pin stipes on each side? I was looking at http://www.spectrummarcom.com/mustang/stripepainter.html and it looks sweet. What hood scoop are you getting?

Hey Spartan,

How do you like the Magnaflow system on your car. I'm thinking of getting the 16605 System. Greak job on your bumper swap. I'm going with the Roush Stage 3 Nose and the GT rear bumper.
