S7 dosent have to do anything with Ford, thats an amazing super car which i would take over all other cars, before you oreder it you have to go to Saleen company and they messuer your height, waist shoulders... so that you fit perfectly in the those seats, the car is handmade, its nothin simular to ford, other saleens are modified fords, but the s7 had nothin to do with ford,it has his price 440,000, but you get air plane ticket included to cali

Not a single thing?! Hmmmm, just their own car, thats cool to know. I would have assumed that it would share SOMETHING with ford because they modify stock Mustangs into something awesome. Thats pretty cool that it is its own car. I guess now I understand a little more, Saleen S7. Saleen being the company and S7 the product
$440,000 isnt bad seeing how beautiful it is along with its power, handling and comfort. I guess I was kinda on with the price, heh. I would rather buy a Ford GT first though ;) then just save another $125,000 THEN get a S7. Hell if I saved up another 560,000 I could buy a McLearen for a kool mil Lets see, I have $5 dollars and 85 cents saved up.... IM ALREADY HALFWAY THERE BABY! lmfao!!!
im not sure by the block is it cobra r's cuz it 5.4 couldent find info is it or not, i think it might be cobra r's, O yea they only 24 saleens comming out in a year
If you're talkin about the S7, it has a 7.0 liter engine, so it's not the 5.4. I still can't see spending nearly half a mil on a car that would have its ass handed to it by a turbo Vette. I guess it's just for the whole "exclusive" thing.
Ops stupid of me, got confused with gt40, yea the saleen is 7.0 and it has Engine-control system: Saleen/Ford EEC-V with port fuel injection, thats together with ford, and it is so expensive cuz its the fastes U.S car buildet out of factory, and it can compare with the McLaren Enzo Carrera GT and other super cars.

Indeed. Its one hell of a supercar. Does anyone know how much they are? According to webpage I am linking you need $100,000 down on the car just to drive it off the lot, if its like most standard car lots then its gotta be 1/3rd down to drive it home which leads me to say, "GOOD GOD IS THIS CAR $300,000?!" If so then its well worth it if you can afford it :) The other competing Super Cars from ford are the Ford GT and the Ford GT90. Both are stunning and have a high price tag ;) As much as I love the GT40 this S7 just outshows the car. The GT40 is only $125,000 as well.
The GT40 sports a mid mounted Supercharged 4.8L V8 500hp 500ft-lbs tq engine.
The GT90 engineers have produced a 6L V12 from two Romeo V8's by cutting the front two cylenders off one block and the back two off the other and vacuum welding the two blocks together. They then built the block up accordingly and added a Quad Turbo setup to produce a mind blowing 720hp and 660ft-lbs tq, the goal they have set is for a unrealistic 900hp!
The Saleen S7 offers a mid mounted 7L V8 N/A engine that produces a WHOPPING 550hp and 520ft-lbs tq (LETS SLAP A HAIR DRYER ON DAT PUPPY) With this wide selection of super cars from 1 American Motor company it will keep is gawking and drooling for more and keep all of us playing the lotto.
The Ford GT is still my dream car. Man I gotta get me all 3 :D
I thought the ford GT (which I dont think is called the GT40 anymore) was powered by a 5.4 liter supercharged engine? The one based off of the Cobra R?
I'm gonna put another link to another vid. Currently, after sifting through a couple hundred vids, I could only find this one. I'll look through the rest later. It's a TA vs Saleen.

Hey NeoTokyo as for the price , I checked it out, and I think that yes its $100,000 down but the Manufacturer’s Suggested Retail Price (MSRP) is $395,000. The Saleen S7 went on sale at its introduction at the famed Monterey Historic Races on August 19, 2000.
Just thought i would throw my two cents in about the o'l S7 (awsome car) and how it doesn't have ANY thing to do with Ford.... other than the 7L engine is a ford engine reengineered by Saleen, just thought I'd throw that in there.

You may be right, I really don't feel like looking it up, but it's a Saleen.....not a Ford Saleen, a Saleen. What 7 liter engine did Ford ever produce? 429?
