If you are gonna spend the money to get heads get a good set of aftermarket heads, not just the newer ones.

You can get a 50 shot of N20, it might be a bit expensive, and some people dont agree with n20 but some of the things jeepster and others have said about it have convinced me

Yeah, a couple of months ago i was against N2O but then after reading some of the posts by the people that have nitrous i am changing my mind, as a matter of fact i am doing research on the different kits to find the best one to put on my car (with limited other mods)

any suggestions

N20 is not bad, one, it's been developed nicely over the years and 2 if you stick to the cautions (do's and don'ts), obey and respect them and KNOW how and why the product works it's probably one of the cheapest ways to get ALOT of horses.

I would also like to install it,but i think for the street and daily use boost will be better.

I agree, if its a daily driver then boost is the way to go.

boost is air forced into the motor via turbo or supercharger
jeep45238
07-13-2003, 02:20 AM
Forced induction, like superchargers and turbochargeres.
They create positive PSI (boost) and forces more air than usual into the motor (forced induction).
Nitrous is also forced induction, since it puts more oxygen in the motor than what it would usually take in.
I disagree with the "boost is better for daily driver" theory.
Why? Simply put, it's a waste of money for the most part. On a daily driver, you take it to work, do groceries, blah blah blah blah blah. For cheap power, nitrous is THE KEY in any car. The biggest gains for the dollar are seen with N20. The wear and tear of boost is always there when the motor's running under load (driving). The wear and tear of nitrous is only there when the button is pushed, which is usually at the track or short street races.
From the sound of hawks05 question, he doesn't have the monetary funds to do boost, but nitrous is easily had.
You can get a very nice nitrous set up for under $700, bottle, silinoids, lines, blow down tube (very important safety feature), and a heater for the bottle. That $700 will give you over 100 horses if your motor can take it (I strongly suggest you don't go over 75 in that V6).
Don't buy used unless you plan on rebuilding the silinoids. Always use a filter before each silinoid.
Always do wet when possible, it doesn't rely upon the stock fuel system to keep the motor from gernading (it supplies the additional gasoline itself). Only spray at wide open throttle, when the motor can easily rev (not 25 mph in 5th...), and never below 2500 or above redline.
Well im just looking to mess around with my V6 for now i have other funds aside that im saving to hopefully drop a V8 in by crhistmas but i still welcome help for supeing a V6 since thats what i have right now and want to do

I agree and disagree....it's all about $$$$$
nos is great kit is about 500.00 venom is better suited for the v-6 as it takes care as fuel pressure and use a diablo 2 step chip would be the way to go...if you use nos alot 40.00 a weekend will get ya but when not in use you know down 25+ mpg
super charger I use one ..is awsum but has a high start up cost....a good tune makes or break it and parts as well if yo u stay out of it and use a blow off valve you have fun ...I run 15 pounds of boost but while cruising I see about a pound
hope this helps

Venom kits are dry.
If you use a wet kit, the kit takes care of the gasoline. Not by pressure (believe it or not, but just because you boost pressure doesn't mean you always boost volume, which is what matters), but off of additional volume. It doesn't rely on your stock injectors and hoping they won't lock up and fry your motor.
15 PSI eh? And what's inside your motor? Because honestly, I'm smelling something weird...15 psi is a lotta boost....

ok ricer=asshole little punk with a stock import with lightly modded exterior thinking his body kits and wing make his car faster, and you'll know when you see one. you gonna tell me that those guys aren't annoying? i have nothing against economy cars (stock or not), kinda got a beef with imports in general because people aren't supporting their country, but i got a big ole beef when people are using stock economy cars with light exterior mods thinking they're gonna beat a V-8 mustang or otherwise.

To quote myself:
Fuuuuuuuuuuuuuuck that.
Find out how big the DIA of the piping flowmaster uses for your set up is.
Go to any shop that does mandrel bending, have them fab one up with DynoMax SuperTurbo mufflers (much higher flowing, cheap, and good sounding).
Way cheaper and same net result.

YOU WANT TO GET 2 SERIES 40 FLOWMASTERS, WILL GIVE YOU A SOUND LIKE A V8
kdlx1
07-18-2003, 12:10 PM
THOSE WILL RUN YOU ABOUT $140, (MAKE SURE YOU GET THE RIGHT OFFSET) THEN TAKE THEM TO A CUSTOM EXHAUST SHOP, (NOT MIDAS OR MEINEKE) AND IT WILL RUN YOU LIKE $100-$200 FOR THEM TO RUN PIPE AND PUT THEM ON, JUST DEPENDS ON WHERE YOU WANT IT TO COME OUT EITHER THE SIDES OF YOUR CAR OR THE REAR
