Ive been contimplating geting a whole kit, with springs shocks/struts and new sway bars. I belive it is whats in the Bullit . I would also try to buy a new bushing kit, i cant think of the name right now, but i would also new upper and lower control arms while im at it. The one i was looking at is part number..M5400A Would this be a good value? Also if i decide an inch isnt enought of a drop, could i put diffrent springs in there to lower it a little more?
The M5400A Bullitt kit is a great value, and a big bang for the buck upgrade.
The kit comes with:
Front & rear Tokico Shocks
Bullitt Springs (600 lb/in front spring rating)
Front & Rear Bullitt Swaybars
I think this is a great starting point. Then you can get rear control arms as you suggested. The most popular arms we sell are the Maximum Motorsports Standard Lower Control Arms, with the Ford Racing Rear Upper Arms, with an upgraded urethane axle bushing.
You can always take out the Bullitt springs at a later date if you decide to lower it more. Keep in mind though the bullitt kit is designed to slightly lower the car, but will vastly improve performance...
I recently purchased the M5400A kit but it has yet to arrive. Does anyone know if the 3/4" drop will be a problem for those with headers installed? I have the Bassani mid-length headers installed and the clearance is already pretty tight in there. I have been researching K-member upgrades but I really do not want to buy a new K-member if it is not needed. I just want to drop the car at a minimum to eliminate some of the extra space in the wheel-wells. The by-product is that I will have improved handling :P
Any suggestions?

Hey, My car was totalled, turns out I Bought a Bullitt. The suspension setup is absolutly amazing. It holds the road really well, I also installed longtube headers, with no problems. There close to the ground but not that close. IMO you made a good choice.

As stated above, the Bullitt suspension still provides great clearance. The Bullitt package is more of a handling/performance package than a "lowering kit". It will only lower your car about 0.5 to 0.75 inches.

Sorry to hijack, but I was thinking about this kit for my 95 gt convertible. I have noticed that there are different springs for convertibles than hardtops due to the extra weight. Will this kit work with my vert our not. Thanks for the help in advance.
Just wanted to follow up on this post regarding the Ford Racing Bullitt suspension kit.
I ran into minor problems even though I had prepared for the install. To save some time...forget about compressing the front springs for removing the old ones and installing the new ones - Seriously! I removed the outer tie-rod for additional clearance to install the new springs. I don't recommend using a pickle-fork to remove the outer tie-rod joint instead use a clamp designed for this part so that you do not damage the rubber boot - yes I tore mine and had to replace it. Other than that, the installation was pretty straightforward. I noticed more of a drop in the rear than in the front but overall the appearance looks better. As for the handling, I notice it more in the braking and take-off than going around corners. The kit prevents those unintended wheel spins which can draw some unwanted attention. The ride does not seem any more harsh or smoother. I had the car aligned and did not need any caster and camber plates. The only annoying thing about the ride is probably the crappy roads I have to drive on - it seems that the car wants to follow every uneven line in the road. Its similar to driving across a draw bridge and the tires follow the steel grating. I don't notice it with my other cars but I figure it is due to the softer suspension and tires associated with them.
Overall I am satisfied but I would welcome anyone who could explain the need for the front and rear sway bars with this kit. To my eyes, there was no difference but I installed them anyways.
