As for the fox body car with a sunroof - I don't recall Saleen ever converting a fox body with a sunroof [&:] Therefore I would guess that car to be a clone or have a aftermarket sunroof cut into it [:'(] I could be wrong though [;)]
As for the '99 question with orange paint - we need the Saleen serial number off the bumper as mentioned in the above posts.
If it hasn't been answered by Friday I'll check into then.

Can't find anything on the Sunroof - the VIN - 127 is correct for the bumper #363, it was delivered in to WV.

alright so the red 99 with vin 1fafp42x5xf159486 and its #110. thats all i got if you need more i could see if i can get the information but i dont know.

Sorry zaxjax, you need to call Saleen on that one. The Registry is only current through 2003.

Thanks anyways. I did take a look in person at the car. It's beautiful but the guy listed as s/c, and it's not. I'm going the Cobra route, it's very hard to find a s/c Saleen around here.

Only the supercharged Saleens have the extra guage pod on top of the dash.

01-462 - Last 3 of Ford VIN is 083 Coupe, built 3/31/01, non-supercharged Only options were mats & Chrome Wheels

90-0046, last 3 of Ford VIN shows 575. Hatchback, built 2/03/90. 3.55 rear gear was only option listed.

so what your saying is that the car is a is real saleen, and only option was the 3.55 traction loc differential. Im taking a 8 hour ride to get this car so you be saving me a big trip if its not real. thanks alot

That car checks out as legit - '91 #45 with VIN ending in 196. Nothing reported on it other than it had a Blue Top originally.

i wanted to varify if my saleen is real or not. my vin # is: 1FAFP42X33F340726. my saleen bumper # is 120 it is supercharged and has all the gear but when i check it thru the vin a Gt coupe comes up. do you know why? thanks guys.

What year? Looks to be Dk Shadow Grey so should be '03 or '04. If its '04 we can't tell (see Post #1 here). I could decode it, but you'd make life so much easier [;)]
All Saleens maintain the Ford Factory VIN number thus it will always come up as a Mustang GT Coupe or Vert.
