Default '06 Stang Aftermarket stereos

Has anyone out there upgraded head units on their 06 mustangs? I had a bit of a system in my old car for years, but my headunit died weeks before getting my mustang. Needless to say, my subs/amp/misc other is sitting in my apartment calling to me to be used. I don't like the idea of hacking into the dash/trunk to install anything major just yet, but I'd be interested to hear if anyone else out there's put in a system, and how it went. I also am finding it hard to envision a headunit in that big huge space without it looking lame, so if anyone has any preferences of headunits for this car, that would also be appreciated. Maybe even some pictures!?

Shouldn't be any different than doing one in a 05 car. Do a search, plenty of threads.

Looks like you will have a awesome setup. I am waiting to check out the AVIC-Z1 which starts shipping end of March. Where did you purchase all of your audio gear? Did you get a good deal?

Where you able to use the existing wiring harness?

I had managed to use the factory wires to the front doors, I modified the existing harness in the door for it to work,
I bought the head unit from a local car audio shop, some of the speakers from woofersetc.com and the my buddy gave me the amps cause he owed me some $$$.

I got my stuff from a buddy of mine that works at a local shop. He gets discounts straight through JL once a year. So what he did was order stuff with his discount for himself, then sold it to me for that price under the table. The momo speakers and the Avic N2 i got off ebay brand new in box.
