I am new to the site but have been following your dialog. I have ordered and paid for my E it is #14, which makes it the 3rd produced. It is suppose to arrive the first of next week. Once I brake it in I will post some times. Expect an annoucment from Saleen very soon. I believe everyone will be impressed by the numbers.
Mr "Smart" - Glad to hear you're getting yours sooner than later....can you tell me when you found out what # your 281E was? I just got the go ahead from the dealer who said he placed an order for the chassis from Ford and the order on call with Saleen.

yes its black i ordered mine a while back maybe 3 months ago. From the time my car got to saleen i think its taken 30-40 days. That's my best guess. They gave me some hints about the track times but wanted to make a formal announcement.
I priced one here in Anchorage. They wanted $83k. After a week they came down to $73. Said it would be 6 months because they hadn't started making any yet. That was about 3 weeks ago. Of course the $73K needed freight and $5500 additional dealer markup cause it was special. Little to much for this boy....but would love to have one....
