Well I just bought an 07' Sc about 3 weeks ago and the first thing I notived was the brakes. So I called Saleen and they said there was a recall, but it was not and issue with the effictivness, only and issues of squeaking. I took it to the dealer and they ordered the new rotors.

Hope you have better luck than i did. My replacement rotors now have about 4000 mi on them and louder than ever. THe dealer's next plan is new pads but I'm not optimistic. Maybe the non slotted rotors would be better. I waited three months for these rotors.

My car is now tucked away until March or so, but the replacement rotors installed under Saleen warranty were completely silent for the relatively short time I used them. I'm taking this as a good sign, as I did lots of stop/start and hard braking without any noise at all. My original brakes squealed within the first mile, so this is a definite improvement. If for some reason the new rotors don't cure the problem, hopefully by Spring a new version will be available.

Hi Steve, Great news!!!! THEY HAVE FINALLY GOT IT!!!! Saleen has fabricated a 3rd generation rotor AND pad set up. You will easily be able to tell as first of course NO FU@%*&^ SQUEAL!!! But if you tale a small flashlight and look at the pad where it rests against the rotor you will clearly notice a thick, black rubber insulator that seems to go around the edges of the pad. It keeps the pad from the metal to metal contact points where those fitted chrome shims are. I can say I am very happy, IT WORKS!!!!

GET 'ER DONE!!!

Great news!  Are the new rotors slotted or do they have drilled holes (or neither)???

If these work long-term to prevent brake squeal, will you be changing your login id?

I would use brake lubricant all over the place and if the squeak comes back then it's the type of pad they are using. Maybe you should have the rotors turned once?
