I have a set of 16" mustang wheels off a 97 GT (i think). They are 7 or 8" wide. Do you think they are work putting a radial on for the strip? My 18s" are too heavy and I dont wan to ruin the tires. What tire size and brand should I get to gain some more grip? I believe they are a good 7-8 pounds lighter than the ones I have on now so that should make a big different.

MT ET Street radials. I think they make them in 16's.
