lol yea i am in the process of buying a svt f150 or a harley davidson f150. I will still keep my cobra though. I will just use it as a weekend car.

sweet...i love lightings...my friend has a harley with pulley, chip and exhaust...holy **** its fast...but he blew the motor 2 times....he was using a 20lb pulley!

ha! that sucks for him. Have a friend running 20lbs pulley and some other **** pushing 400hp to wheels.:D. Can't wait to get mine up in that range.

hell yeah man...they are probably the best wheels you can get for auto x'ing. ccw's. they come as wide as 16inches, and they are incredibly light.

i have a 98 atlantic blue cobra and i love it, i think ill be buried in it (can you think of a better way to spend eternity?), i saw this car at a nissan dealership in the beginning of 2002, i tried to get it but i had a 2000 dakota r/t that i had to sell first, but i lost out, i couldnt sell it in time. then i actually saw it on ebay, the dealer put it there. well a year went buy and i had since moved across the street from the same nissan dealer, and it reappeared, i almost came in my pants when i walked up to it, lol. i talked to a salesman but i thought i couldnt afford it, then i called a couple of days later and they sold it, i was pissed, then about a week went by and the salesman called me and said it was back, the deal didnt go through, so i left work early and went and bought it. i cant tell you how many people has tried to buy it from me in the year that ive had it, but like i said, ill be buried in this car, IT IS NOT FOR SALE NOW AND NEVER WILL BE, GOT IT!!!!!!!!

get a new cobra all the way...they are totally differnet....6 speed, supercharged, and a bomb proof motor...the motor you have now will easily break when a supercharger is put on, while the 03/04 is capable up to 1000hp:D

Welp when I get back from Kuwait and get everything installed and looking good, I wouldnt doubt it if you see my car on the net somewhere.

hello, i own a black 2001 svt cobra convertable, i love it it is very fast........of course not as fast as an 03-04.
just curious, how fast can the 2001 go? 150mph or can it go faster (im refering to it being bone stock). also how fast are the 03-04`s with their supercharged engines. is it true the 2003-04 mach 1 is faster than the 2001 svt cobra? im asking because how can a car with 305 rwhp have a higher top speed than a car with 320 rwhp, even if its 900lbs lighter.

Looking to buy a 98, 99 or 2001 SVT to build for the One Lap of America. If any of you have good leads let me know. I am also having a hard time deciding on IRS or a 98 with the solid axle. The 99 cars concern me because of the recall. How do you know if the recall work on the motor was done? I've heard the 98 cars actually make more power on the dyno than the 99 cars that are rated at 15 more hp. I want to spent as close to $10000 as possible but would spend more if the car had mods that are useful to my build. What is your guys opinion on which year to get?

I have the 2003 SVT Cobra, and ready to trade it in for an SS. The car idles rough, knocks, and engine light comes on. I took it in after the supercharger overheated (towed actually) and then took it in for the knock and rough idle (Smoked when starting ocassionally too). All while under warranty and ford would not fix. Now warranty has expired and they are not responding to my request to fix as they should have while under warranty. Can anyone help before I go to real american hot rods.

I am a colorado owner of a 1998 cobra.. I was wondering if anyone has info. on cold air kits. I have seen some issues with filtration and the oil impreg. filters. I was looking at the Fipk gen II by k&n. I have a cracked air box, should I get the fipk or just replace with factory airbox?

I just joined the fourm a few weeks ago. I bought my 03' SVT Cobra a few mos ago. I'm trying to sell my 01' GT to help pay for the Cobra (if any ones interested). I love my Cobra, but its not a "everyday driver". It sucks gas & the clutch is like a 100 lb leg press. Its has a aftmkt B&M shifter. I can'nt tell if its better than the stock bec the previous owner installed it.
It shifts tight and the throw is "short". I have problems speed shifting into 3rd gear. This might just be an inherent problem w/ my car. The guy that tested it on the dyno agreed that something was'nt right. He thought the problem might be W/ the tranny, the synchros not lining up?? . I called B&M- there is "no adjustment" for the shifter. Any ways just want to an let you know that there is another SVT owner reading the fourm occasionally.

I own a 97 White Cobra Convertable. She's got a Procharger 10PSI S/C and 3 core intercooler, 408RWHP @6500 RPM

Right now it is in my garage with what I think might be a broken ring. The number 6 cylinder is coated with oil and she smokes pretty bad. I've got part of the engine in pieces and might be pulling the whole thing this winter.

I had a 99 Cobra and that hood looks a lot better than the stock one. I went with the Saleen wing, wheel vents and panther custom rims. Here is a pic. The best and worst day of my life was when I gave her up for an '03' 10th Ann. convert. Cobra. Really miss that car, had some great times in it.

On 5/05/06, I bought a 2004 Terminator Cobra, #256 of 515 Mystichrome coupes, or also #1010 (really) of 3,768 Cobras. It had 10,539 mi. on it and is in as-new condition. The production date is 12/22/03. The P.O., Tom L., lives in Palmdale, CA, 157 mi. North of my home in Escondido. He is a very devoted SVT fan, but had to liquidate it in favor of a new house.

Just got a 03' cobra convertable - Tripple Black. What a machine!! Had a 84 GT as a first car, 96 GT in high school. The SVT is my fav by far! Super Fast stock, but I am going for STUPID FAST with a few mods sometime in the future. "Warranty issue"

finnaly found and bought my 99 cobra this weekend, only mod so far is the k&n filter, thinking about a short shift kit. anyone else have the "99 cobra tip in driveline thump"? took it to a shop and the guy just chuckled and printed out the tsb for it. just glad it wasnt something major. any advice?

I'm on my second Cobra, 1st was a white 04 vert, had to trade it in for a 06 Jetta tdi that gets 50 mpg. We just got a 03 black vert w/4900 mi & to tell the truth I like the black way better. I think we are going to keep this one.

i also am new to this site,i am waiting on delivery. its an 03 silver terminator.
lightly modded:full exhaust, k&n intake,carbon ware cowl hood,black bullitt wheels,steeda springs,a-pillar boost-a/f gauges,and a 4 point roll cage.

my last svt was a 95 white cobra. i havent had a ford in a long time.But i cant wait to get back on the horse so to speak. haha

That's funny. We bought an '02 GT in December '05, and traded it in for an '03 vert Cobra last month. Kinda soon to be buying such a car, but we fell in love I suppose.
