I am looking for your opinion.

I'm bored with the dreary looking head/tail lights on my '88 LX 5.0 Hatchback. So I have ventured into the aftermarket for alternatives...My question is, has any one seen or setup a '87-'93 Mustang with the front and rear Alteeza Euro setup? If so, what's your take on it? And if you have other options, I would appreciate your generosity.

My baby(Original Owner) is Starburst Red, 5 Spoke Rims, GT-500 Hood, Saleen side skirts, rear valance, Razzi Front Spoiler and Magnaflow Exhaust with Polished Tips...I am finding it tough to visualize, my guess is that they will enhance the appearance, but I may be wrong...As I usually am.

Thanks for you time

-Tim

on the fox body style i personally feel that the euros look nice, and not many people have them (on stangs), i would say that with your set up they would enhance the rear end visual, another option would be clear tail lights, i saw an 91 gt yesterday with some and it looked sharp with the bright red paint, warning: just my personal opinion!

Thanks for the input...I think I am going to go for it, worst case scenario is if I don't like them, I can always put the ooriginals back on.

LLOYD,

Is this your opinion as a purist? Or are you basing this on a prsonal experience?

You have me thinking now :| Does anyone know of a link with the Mustang/Alteeza setup?

%^##*@...were it not for LLoyd's popularity amongst the masses I would be all over the Alteeza. Now I stand exactly where I stood prior to the original post. UNSURE.

Sorry, Altezza and Mustang are oxymorons. They have no business on a Mustang IMO. Leave the ricey taillights to those who think they'll actually add horsepower.

Just my very humble $.02

How true this is.

Add HP, LMAO!!!!

And about the Borla, It sounds good. Performance wise, I really couldnt tell you, it was on the Stang when I bought it. SO I dont know Stock before the CatBack. I also dont know how it stacks up to Flowmasters or any other. I may still switch to Flowmasters because it is the choice of many, and if I did have stock, I would go straight for the Flowmasters. One better thing with Borla is, its all stainless steel. But expensive, I wouldnt spend the $650 on it. SO Ill get back to ya on that, if I switch out to the Flowmasters. Hell , I maybe able to make some money or come out even on the switch, if I cant get someone to buy my Borla system.

"the euros on a fox.. worst thing u can do.." <--- How could you ever go wrong with an Olive skinned Italian woman with no brothers?

"Im just begging you for the sake of mustangs and american cars everywhere. Leave the Alteeza's to the import sh!tboxes. <---This capped it for me.

"Leave the ricey taillights to those who think they'll actually add horsepower." <---{{GULP}} You mean it doesn't?

Hmmm, I think it is unanimous...Alteeza's blow.

What now? Does anyone object to Clear OEM's?

For the record, I really don't mind the stock tails, it's the jauntist looking heads that irk me.

Amen. Would you rather look fast (I don't know how altezza's will do that) or BE fast? That's the problems with riceboys nowadays, they'd rather look fast.

Buy them and I will hunt you down, beat the living pulp out of you, steal the car, and put in stock tail lights.
