Hey whats up guys... I just fell apon this convo. but incase no one cleared it up the 02 WRX's only have a 2.0L DOHC turbo charged. and watch it around porsche guys cause they get pissy if you call a subie motor a boxter its "boxer" lol but yea pretty much the same lol
with a V6 I wouldnt bother, find out what mods he has first. even though stock for stock a stock WRX runs ~14.5 stock in 1/4 mile. not sure what a V6 will do.
Im not bashing on anything, I own an 05 WRX. and I walked on V6 mustangs all day around here. I dont know why, but the V6 ppl (no offence) always wanna race thinking their car is way faster then mine. my 05 stock with a few mods I got it down to 14 in the 1/4. Dont get me wrong im not saying ones better then the other. I like cars for cars and what they are capable of. Im actually looking at getting a Cobra maybe an 04 or around that year.
If he isnt loaded convince him to get a pro-tune and an upgraded clutch (and hope he has a stock gear box) tell him to launch it at 6,000 rpm's dump the clutch then when you hear the trans go get out laff at him then leave. WRX gears are VERY weak. I have an EXEDY twin disc in mine and it murdered 1st gear. lol but WRX trans are very weak.
