spike306 -> issues w/ my 5.0 (3/10/2003 9:34:43 PM)

ok fellas, i thought i was over my fuel problems, but am apparently not. i changed out my 190 lph to another and that turned out to not be the problem. i drove for about 10 min. then it started acting fuel starved again. then i switched to an adjustable fuel pressure regulator, and the same situaton occured once again. this time i let it run for about 20 min. then i shut it off, when i let it cool of for a while, i came back, started it up, and i got the same results as last time.

any suggestions fellas???

another thing , this all takes place after the water temp. reaches about 190-195 degrees(running temp)

it's definitely something w/the fuel system. i don't know, it kinda feels like something might clogging the injectors. i do know that it not the filter, not the pump, and not the regulator

got any ideas?

Clean them. and not with that crap you put in your tank. Snap on makes a machine that connects to the rail and cleans them. Its the sh!t. Find a shop that has one.

i'm starting to think that it might not be clogged, i think that it's an electrical failier. it feels like when the car gets to running temp. then something electrical cuts off the injectors. what does that sound like?

Check your coolant temp sensor. Believe it or not they can cause all kinds of problems

i had the same problem w/ my 88 gt, it turned out it was vaporlocking!!! i moved my fuel lines a lil futher from my h pipe and mufflers it solved my problem. just an idea

i checked my fuel lines, and they appear to be fine, but thanks for the idea. i'm now convinced that it was my ignition modual the whole time. we're about to swap it out. i'll keep you guys informed

dragntoys -> issues w/ my 5.0 (3/14/2003 7:17:47 PM)

there is three sensors that i changed and it helped my car out   air temp sensor aircharger sensor and water temp sending sensor they are all on the intake   the air charger i think is the most important chris
