A few weeks ago I was looking online and found various splash guards. I found a pair of plain black ones that were molded and looked like they would be a good pair for when I throw on some wider tires, though now I can barely find any... So question is, does anyone know of some sites that have them?

Does anyone know if they sell these some place else for cheaper, or some place else in general since this place you can't even order online you have to call your order in?

while I know its not a truck, I just couldnt stand the dirt stuck to the paint...might pull them off come summer, but doubt it...rather see rubber flaps than chipped paint- not just a fair weather car, its too much fun to keep it put away...1500 miles on better days this winter and enjoyed every minute cant wait till summertime!
I't not too big on those mud flaps![&:] Though I see your reasoning for having them on. If your that worried abotu chipped paint in the back by some touch up. The plain flaps arnt too bad in my opinion.

I'm not a big fan of the rubber mudflap look either, but I kinda like the molded ones from ford- except it looks to me like theres a lot of stuff still gonna get thrown at the paint- on mine if you kinda eyeball from behind the bumper and move your head down, youll see flap before tread...no stones will hit anywhere (except in front of rear tire- used 'roll on bedliner' to cover the underside of lip- and everything else) If flaps were any higer I think theyd still let stone chips occur.
I think if the factory had a set of molded that were a bit lower, they would look good- especially if the rocker covers were blacked out also. On the front of mine I put a set of plain black plastic ones on, but the only thing holding is the rocker pin retainers- had to actually cut them down as not much room in front- ended up only about 1.5inches from the ground, but rockers stay pretty clean now. I'm thinking about getting some of the clear bra stuff for behind wheels this summer, and losing the flaps altogether, but come winter, theyll go back on...way to much fine gravel on the roads in ohio- leftovers from the salt trucks. I also put a big set of truck flaps inside my rear wheelwells behind the mudflaps to keep bigger stones from chipping away at the inner wheelhouses- the factory undercoating stops outside of what you can see looking under- next time wheels off stick head under wheelwell and look at the paint only outer half of inner wheelhouses...I honstly think planned obsolescence is a real thing, and this is designed to get chipped and start rusting so youll buy a new one...guys in snowfree areas have got it made not having to drive thru cinders/gravel/sand/salt/whatever they throw out there... as much as I hate to drive in it the drier winter days, the cars still too much fun not to enjoy 1/4 of the year...supposed to get hiwinds/hail yesterday/tonight so its back in the garage again for a bit...I can handle a few days, but a few months- just couldnt do it. the week I had it tore apart to undercoat was killing me- put 1200 miles on it since then

I've got a black Mustang, so it doesn't take long for the splash of dirt and grime to show up, even if I'm just driving it normally. So I'd rather just try and protect it the best I can to keep my car looking clean.

In defense of ford4V429, I too live in Ohio (Northeastern) and have a Vista Blue '06 GT. The cinders, salt and gravel that are dumped on the roads during the winter linger for a long time. In addition, the tar and chip roads start to chunk out from the plows. I'm likely to do the same thing and install flaps even though I'll agree that they detract from the car's appearance. I can't drive mine 5 miles without having a film of dirt on the rear quarters and I only drive on nice, dry days!
