Hahahaaaah...that'll make you think twice about letting your wife/girlfriend take your car in for an oil change.....

I had a girl take my car in to Sears automotive center for an oil change while I was up in Ohio. They said the brakes were leaking. They said the master cylinder, rear cylinder, and some hose lines were leaking. They would do it for $660.00. Yes...the brakes were leaking, but I knew they were trying to pull a fast one on her. I told her wait until I get home and keep topping it off with brake fluid. She didn't know how to top it off...and then bitched me out for not trusting a "professional mechanic".

I came back a week later, popped it up at my dad's shop, and saw wetness around the rear cylinder ONLY. I went to an auto store, got one for $100 and put it in...brakes were just fine after that. I went back to Sears and held their quote sheet up. They said it was their store policy to do the whole system just for safety and liability reasons...they lied, they told her everything was leaking. I'm not saying all girls are unknowledgeable about cars, just some of them (and some guys too) don't even care whats under it.

But to sum it up, they tried to con her out of roughly $500 more than we should've payed...if you're in Volusia, DON'T GO TO SEARS!

damn thats ****ing halarious, man thats reminds me when i went to jiffy lube to get a 20 dollar oil chane, and oil filter, and these guys were like man we can let you drive out here without the cat, and your Brake rotors have holes in them thats very dangerous, i was like oh so cross drilled rotor are very dangerous huh, and the guy was like yes.

Then he said some other bull ****, and i was like well just do the 20 dollar oil change and i'll go ahead and take the risk of having holes in my rotors. and as far as the cat leave it like that ill take the risk of a cop pulling me over and getting ther fat ass under my car to check, like thats ever ganna happen.
