I have a 92 gt which my engine is basically stock. I have a mac cold air kit for the fenderwell and thats about it. But im putting in a new engine in a yr or two and i dont wanna spend money upgrading this one. If there is any cheap mods or would putting a shot of nitrous be a good idea considering the engine has 80k on it? Any ideas let me know.

ALWAYS A GOOD IDEA TO SHOOT IT!!!!! Remember to upgrade the fuel system too! That way youre doing stuff to the car that will still be there when you change the motor.

Well already I have 3:73's in the rear end with an auburn pro limited slip and superior 31 spline axles. Also i have competition engineering subframe connectors, lakewood lower control arms and steeda double adjustable uppers and battle boxes welded in with new shocks and new springs, so i think im set on the support. Maybe thinking about going with a panhard bar also. If you say shoot it, how big of a shot should I go on an engine that has 80,000 miles on it?

With running that shot of nitrous, is there anything that im gonna have to do with the fuel system? Maybe a fuel pressure regulator or anything ?
Hey your guys and myself, I just have to wait for the damn snow to melt before I can pull it out to work on it, as soon as i get the shot on and can run it you guys will be sure to know what it does.

did you advance the timing try 12-14 degrees also bring the TPS up to 1 full volt for better throttle respose, the timing adjust is good for about 5-9 h.p.

If I was going to make any mods on a motor that didnt plan on being around for a while I would do things that would interchange with the new motor. Throttle body, intake, injectors, mass air, fuel pump, headers, etc... I did the same thing and it all worked out good for me. I have replaced everything you can imagine so if you would like an opinion of a swap I proabably have already done it. Dave

I appreciate the idea, the only problem I would run into with that is im not sure how everything is gonna match up yet with what im gonna be running. I plan on running a 306 that will be about 400hp itself with a ATI Pro Charger with about 14 lbs of boost, so thats gonna put me close to 600hp. I plan on going with an Aroemotive Fuel system. But as in the throttle body, mass air, injectors and headers, im not sure whats gonna match up with it.
