Default Trouble hanging v6 magnaflow duals

My boyfriend is having problems hanging the drivers side exhaust. He says it's not bent correctly. Any body else had problems with the drivers side? Its part #16605 y-pipe cat back system.

its making a weird noise when u start the car? U gotta get like a piece of cardboard and wedge it in the spot that its hitting and then when you get the right placement tighten the bolts up w/ the cardboard there and check for the rattles when u finish and keep trying until u hear none anymore. I had the same problem... i believe others have also

Yea, I had to go through a similiar process, had to twist the driver side pipe just a tad and tighten. It was a real PITA. And with GT bumpers, I had to get a custom hanger fabbed to make the pipes symetrical.

By wierd noise do you mean rattling? Cuz i just put on my Magnaflows yesterday, and like Rygen, i have the GT bumper so hanging them to fit into the holes was a PITA.

I thought the rattling was my liscense plate cuz its only bolted at the top so the bottom is free, but if its the pipes i need to fix it!

I looked a minute ago at my pipes and the PASSENGER side pipe is touching the side of the bumper!!! DANG IT!!! now i've got to fix that too!! AAAAHHHH

ahhh....that sucks...... but that does explain the vibrations that go all the way through the cabin. [&:]

i guess i'll have to take it to a muffler shop so that they can adjust it and fix whatever the problem is....

what do you think they should charge for that? i mean all they have to do is adjust it.

hah....bummer.......

yeah i just want it to be RIGHT!!! My friend and I put the system on the car, and i think we did a pretty good job, but.....

vibrations throught the car
pass. side tail pipe is NOW touching the side of the Cutout
we "rigged" up the driver's side hanger, so its pretty ghetto looking from under the car!! haha

so now that stuff needs to be taken care of.

thanks,
will
