Default Has anybody had to replace their engine?

I did at 1800 miles! I never abused or red lined it because I was worried about the break in period. I was driving down a residential street near where I live and I hear this horrible sound from the front of the car. At first I thought I ran over something, but didn't see anything. I get back in the car to start it and it wouldn't turn over. My boyfriend was in another car about a block ahead of me (I drove him to pick up his car at the tire place). He got it to start - flooded the engine though. Still making that horrible (I can't even describe it) sound. Then I called Ford roadside assistance. I took them over an hour to get a tow truck out to me. I was just 1 block west of a main road in town. So, it got towed to my dealer and luckily I saw my salesman just leaving and he saw this almost brand new 05 mustang getting dropped off. He comes up to me and asked "what happened". And I said the motor broke. He couldn't believe it. "Those engines are bullit proof". This was my first Mustang and first Ford. Not a very good impression. Well, Ford wanted to make it right. They also wanted my engine and I got a brand new one. They wanted to get to the bottom of why it failed. So, I get my car back and a couple months later I got my pony grill installed and noticed something funny on the frame. It looked like when the dealer put my new engine in (or took out the old) they must of dropped it and dented the frame right in front of the left headlight. (I need to take pictures) They tried to cover it up by painting it and the only reason I could tell is because they made the mistake of clearcoating over it - the frame under the hood is not clearcoated. I brought this up to them but they played dumb so they won't be fixing it and I will have to live with it. I'm pissed because I shown the car sometimes - so it will never be perfect! I just had to vent and I feel much better now (sorry about the length). I have about 6000 miles on the new engine and no problems - I love my Mustang!

I can try that, but there aren't too many dealers in my area that I trust.

It would be helpful if you could include a photo of the area in question. It would be doubtful that the engine was "dropped" on it,though. At least the engines I have replaced in these new mustangs we drop them down out the bottom of the car with the front subframe..........
