I just bought a new 06 Mustang and the salesperson and brochure say that they come stock at 300hp, but I see alot of people on this forum posting their 05's and 06's with fairly advanced mods at 285-295hp. Is Ford full of S*&t or what? If so, what do they REALLY come out of the factory at?

300 is bhp, break horse power. That is the power to the engine. We post what we put to the wheels. Typically you lose 15% through the drivetrain. Manuals typically dyno 260 to 270 stock to the wheels, autos seem to be 240 to 255.

Good to know! Thanks.

Funny that you were the one to answer... your 287rwhp was the one that sparked my question!

Thanks again,
