After I bought my 03 vert, I tried looking all over the net for spec's, but couldn't find anything on the stage 2. I found all kinds of stuff on stage 1 and 3, but nothing on the stage 2. I know mine is faster than a stock GT. I has burned quite a few. That is the ones who will race me. LOL I have had Cobra's look at my car and say no they won't race. If they only knew how much more motor they had than me, they wouldn't hassitate. Looking back, I would go with the Cobra, but I love my car all the same. I know they are awesome on road courses. It corners like it's on rails for sure.

The stage 2 has the same motor in it that a GT has.

Stage 2 is a upgraded suspension but the same exact motor..........actually weights more than a gt because of the body kit. I think. I could be wrong

Ya but they most of the time don't have hardly any mods, so all you need is the extra couple of horses from the CAI and your good. Three of the ones I raced were auto and mine's 5-speed so I had a little advantage. When it is close to equal, the driver makes all the difference. Besides that, they had problems with traction with the small tires they have. I have 295X35 Toyo's to help me out.

Thanks. I am more than likely going to start showing it when I go back to the states for good.

I have a 2002 GT Stage 2 with Titanium Gears and a king cobra clutch that has 330 Rwhp and 335 Torque. I ran a 13.3 at sea level (in cali)and i ran a 14.5 in the mountains in utah both on the same set of tires NITTO 555 275-35 on the Cobra 18's. Let me know if that helps

Roush stage 1 and stage 2 are the same as far as STRAIGHT LINE PERFORMANCE....most cobra owners are mustang finatics and would know what your packing...hmm

The Stage 2 has a cold air intake and cat back exhaust standred. However, there were shifter, TB, midpipe and gear options. The suspension/brakesare indeed upgraded. But it's set up to balance the car, so straight line gets nothing to mention.
