about a week ago, I raced another GT. It was a 1999 convertible GT (manual) pretty much the same as my car. He pulled up next to me when i was with a friend of mine. I had my top down, and my vert looks pretty spiffy. anyways, he dropped the top next to me to look cool. He was early 40s with about a 10 year old son. He had one of those tape on body kits, a light bar, and some weird looking rims. anyways, we were both turning left and I had the outside lane. I didnt initiate the race, as i thought people dont race with their 10 year old sons in their car. I was wrong. he started gunning it around the turn , and I took the turn faster and was about 4 cars on him by the end of second gear. Either i was a much better driver, or my mods really payed off! (and yes it was clear as day that he was racing)

The wrx race was tonight. I was on my way to rent a movie and im in my car with 2 friends. we see some dorky looking guy driving a wrx with a huge spoiler. I passed him under the speed limit, and didnt think much of it. I guess he saw my taillights and that was that. He got out of his lane, passed the car that was in front of him, and was about to change lanes from behind me and do a ricer flyby. So, I got over in his lane, gunned it, and his headlights disappeared very quickly. wasnt much of a race. I dont know if 99-04 GTS walk wrxs usually, but this guy definitely got pwned.

no, I gave him plenty of room. He was stock, and they run 227hp and 207 lb/ft torque and weigh 3040 pounds. against a 99-04 GT? I think you underestimate the GT.

i don't underestimate the 99+ GT. the regular WRX is a low 14 car, much like the GT. so is an SRT4 (a little faster if you know how to launch them). usually an SRT4 and WRX would crush a 99+ GT from a roll though.
