Start simple. Cold air system from BBK, Cat back Flowmaster system, maybe a set of gears. Whats your budget like for mods?

Some may not agree but the above stuff, with heads and intake, headers. Nitrous, and an upgraded fuel system would be cool. Dont forget subframe connectors and driveshaft loop.

First and foremost. . . FRPP Gears $189.95 from Summit

(I suggest FRPP because it's a ford part and gears have specific measurements)

#2 Subframes. . . $40 CGS(http://cgi.ebay.com/ebaymotors/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=2406580063&category=6767 very good quality)to $100+

#3 Exhaust. . .many brands to choose from

#4 Heads. . .very big gains anywhere from $300 (used) to $2000+ (full race). on average for good new aluminum is $1000

#5 Intake . . . a must for heads, $200 (used) to $600+ (new, race)

It just depends on how your car will be used (drag, autox, etc.)

Edit: I would suggest you upgrade your drivetrain too if you're gonna up the power. Get a good Tremec tranny, alum. driveshaft, and rebuild Trac-loc when installing gears, or buy a new posi unit to install with gears. Plus suspension upgrades would be a good idea, you would want to be able to get traction or the mods are a waste.
