I am partial to the flowmaster cat back system. Alot of guys on this forum speak highly of the bassani x-pipe as well. Ive never used one but everyone here seems to know their stuff. (its a very well informed group we have here) As far as headers go Ive never been let down by BBK.

headers.... i have mac, so i think.... they r ok... kinda boring to look at... get something like bbk they look cool... bassani x pipe .... and flowmaster cat back... best combo u can get....

Who cares what they look like?!?!?!?! Go with what works. I hear good things about mac headers

MAC's are supposed to have some of the highest hp numbers. They aren't the absolute greatest to look at, but I've seen worse, besides most people aren't gonna see inside my engine bay. I'd rather them be impressed by the way my taillights look 2-3 cars ahead of them

EDIT: I had some MAC shorties that I just sold because I got a good deal on some JBA equal lengths. I also a have an O/R X with Flowmasters, and I loved the way my car sounded.

As long as your tailights arent clear I'll back you up on that

No worries, bro, no worries

The best exhaust is ALWAYS low-no back pressure, high exhaust velosity.

Not so much on a stock engine. . . if you're gonna end up doing H/C/I then yeah, free flowing exhaust is a must

uh oh .. i'm in trouble..... lol

No, I don't think you understand.

You WANT high velocity gases. It's called scavanging, they help create a vacume that helps to empty out the exhaust gases that come after them faster.

You DON'T WANT backpressure (contrary to a big myth, like open headers burn out valves and sh*t....). That CHOKES the engine.

It doesnt' matter if you're tuning a damn lawnmower or a Formula 1 race car. It holds true in both worlds.

i have bbk equal lenth headers, bbk off road h-pipe with 40 series flows and its loud and has a very deep rumble. I am extremely happy with my setup. You will be too

BCisme -> whats the best exhaust modific (8/6/2003 4:54:15 PM)

Mac long tubes, bassani X pipe and 40 series flowmasters here. gotta love them headers.

jeep45238 -> whats the best exhaust modific (8/6/2003 8:43:08 PM)

You glad you went long tubes and not shorties? Cause a lotta people here don't think that long's are better (in short...they are).

lloydchristmas -> whats the best exhaust modific (8/6/2003 9:02:37 PM)

on the street theres no need for longs

jeep45238 -> whats the best exhaust modific (8/6/2003 11:53:17 PM)

Or need for a nice juice set up, but does that stop you?

Lasered01 -> RE: whats the best exhaust modific (6/1/2006 11:50:04 PM)

I bought my car with the exhuast system already done and it is one of the sweetest sounding cars I've ever heard. It's a FlowMaster cat back system combined with the cold air intake it breathes easier at the upper end.
