A 100% stock SS/SC can allready trap at 100mph, a better 60ft would help it see a better ET. Which in some cases the trap speed might actually decrease a mph or two.

Quote:

Buahahahahah pass a low 13 second car in your slowbalt?

Yes, A Stage 2 SS/SC will easily lay down 270whp.

Then again I could just hop in my 2002 Camaro SS and own his ass like none other.

For a second there I thought you had a real car as backup, but then I remembered that you SOLD your Camaro to get the Cobalt. At least that's what you've said before. Why would you sell a fast car, just to get a slower car, but you brag more about the slower car!

If you would have read my post this is what it said.

Cobalt SS/SC MSRP - $23,000
GMPP Stage 2 kit - $700.00
Good Driving - I am not capable of

Balling my eyes out as 757GT owns me again and again = PRICELESS

If a stock Cobalt SS could get good enough traction to nail a 60ft time of 2.0 or better 14.0 @ 100 would be cake. But in most situations it doesn't happen that way and the boost comes on to fast and the tires spin like mad.

I fixed your quote again.

There is a problem with this, they trap mid 90s, NOT 100.

I traded in my 2000 SS on my Cobalt.

This keeps getting better by the moment, we got people like 757GT that type a big game on the internet but wouldn't even think about flapin there gums in person. Then we have all of the people that keep knocking on my little Cobalt. Sorry guys but I don't give a **** what any of you think. Hell I could care less how fast it is I have a LS1 too.

The only reason I even post anything Cobalt related is due to ingnorance and complete stupidity of alot of people here. I know this is a Mustang Forum as the title states, but that doesn't change the fact that some of the cars you say you will own are actually competition.

Many of you can only speak of supposed " owning " but in reality you don't know ****.

Look at all of the complete crap in just this thread alone:
- " You need supporting mods for Stage 2 " Ummm, Thats a big NO!
- " You only have 205HP " And the 03/04 Cobra has 395HP, RIGHT?
- " Cobalt SS/SC's are 15 second cars " No, my 150HP 2001 Z24 is a 15 second car.

Like I said before I could really care less how fast my Cobalt is so any attacks on the brand or model of my car is by no means " owning " me.

How many cars do you have? SS, LS1 (which YOU differentiated btw), cobalt, z24....

anyway, your own fellow cobalt drivers say they are high 14, mid at best and under ideal conditions. Therefore, you are an idiot

Lets work power to weight, ur cobalt weighs 2991 lbs according to KBB. 205/2991 is .0685. My GT vert weighs 3375. 260/3375 = .077. thats high enough to give a clear win in pretty much any circumstances. the coups are lighter (that means better) . and dont bitch about wheel hop because you have TOO MUCH boost. Im willing to bet any mustang is still putting down as much or more hp at the low RPMs than you are even with ur precious S/C. You just need to learn to drive. If you have wheel hop, go a little easier on it. Its really about that easy.

The SS Cobalts are nice and I wouldn't mind having one, but WHY IN GOD'S NAME DID YOU TRADE IN YOUR FUCKING SS CAMARO?! OH MY GOD!?!
You should've kept the damn thing and stored it. 40 years from now, original LS1 cars (especialy M6s) will be as wanted as the '67-'69 First gen Camaro's are today...

We have all of the people that keep knocking on my little Cobalt because it is such a pile. Sorry guys I do give a **** what you think. Hell I care alot about how fast it is considering I don't have a LS1 powered car. I sold it like an idiot to buy this Cobalt and I regret it every day.

The only reason I even post anything Cobalt related is due to my ingnorance and complete stupidity. I really think that I can convince you guys that it is fast. I know this is a Mustang Forum as the title states, but that doesn't change the fact that you should all care about how slow my Cobalt is and how you all can beat me.

Many of you speak of owning me and it is true, I am a complete idiot.

Look at all of the complete crapI said in this thread, I also like to back peddle:
- "I have 220whp but I don't have a 1 to 1 gear "
-" I can beat 757GTs stang but I am 1.1 seconds slower"

As you guys can see, I generally am a complete moron and it's sad that I was the quickest sperm to make it to the egg. Like I said before I really care how fast my Cobalt is and any attacks on the brand or model of my car is making me cry and I want to cut myself because 757GT keeps owning me.

I fixed yet another quote of yours.

Hey guess what, you are slow, cobalts are slow and mustangs own you like I do.

im still not sure why Cody takes all this abuse,, and THEN, does NOTHING to change it

a 14.41 timeslip would at least make SOME people leave him alone
simple as that

THEN, if he could get it through his head that 14.41 is NOT faster than a 99-04's 13.9-14.3

does anyone else see this simple solution?

that's funny. you don't care what people think, yet you defend it every chance you get. if 757GT types a big game, then what are you doing? your must be HUGE. you told us all awhile back that you HAD an LS1 and got rid of it because the cobalt had more potential. did another magically appear in your garage a week ago?

you post stuff on a cobalt because of ignorance and stupidity. lets see. we all say and agree a 99+ GT can run neck and neck with an SRT4. you've said before you can't beat an SRT4 but can take 99+GT. 99GT is a low 14 car and high 13 with a great driver. cobalt is on average a high 14 low 15, mid 14 with a good driver. shall i go on?

apparently you care a lot about attacks on your cobalt. otherwise you wouldn't be posting crap like this.

I'm wondering the same thing. I have a Cobalt but would have never traded in a SS Camaro so one. That's pointless and retarded. Oh and for a stock Cobalt SS/SC I have never seen under 14.4 and thats with an damn good experienced driver and perfect conditions. My car isn't as fast as a SRT-4 from a dig or roll. My car ins't as fast from a dig on a GT Mustang either. But from a roll I have had good results from a roll, but im not bragging because who cares. 2 5pds and 1 Auto. 1 wasn't stock. The one that wasn't stock had Ram Air, headers, exhaust, cold air intake and injectors. He is a great driver to and I had a fender on him. The other 5spd I had a car length and same with the Auto. Now I'm not here to argue saying my car is faster than your, im cool, simpily because it's not and really what do I get out of saying that? Nothing. Now that I have said all of that, it doesn't really matter because it wasn't at the track and I wouldn't beat a GT at the track unless he simpily didn't know how to drive. So Cody, you're fighting a losing battle saying Cobalts are as fast as 99' to 04' GT mustang, because they're about .3 to .5 tenths of a second slower. Stock for Stock and SRT-4 has a way better chance vs the GT than the Cobalt. Now saying all of that, I like my car and it's fun for what it is but it's deffinity isn't something I was to keep my whole life, hell if I would have had the money, I wouldn't have it and i'd have me a brand new Duramax, but things don't always go your way.

Cody, do you actually own an LS1-powered vehicle or not?
And you didn't actually say that a Cobalt SS has more performance potential than an LS1 F-body, did you? No one who has owned an LS1 and/or has more than 6 functioning brain cells would make that statement. That is just incomprehensible to me. It can't be true that you said that.

EDIT: UrSSlow, despite your screen name you seem to have a much more realistic view of your car's capabilities and purpose. You don't go around talking smack about V8 Mustangs any more than I talk tough to 03 Cobra owners.

Wow, I didn't know that tires and a nitrous kit could propel a Cobalt into the 11's. You learn something new every day.

i dotn understand that

low traction = higher trap

so how would getting more grip for a better 60' result in a higher trap?

You know...I argued that for about a year with JDaniel and some others that have probably never been to a track. Now out of the blue someone knows something! OMG!
