There is a limit to the size of sigs (character amount)... but if someone links a huge picture, there's nothing we can do. Unless remove it manually, but only a few are like that so why bother...?
Geez... sure do like to blame MF for everything. LOL!
I thought you guys didn't want me to make too many rules??
Amanda - Do you remember that when you first logged in, before you posted pics of yourself and before you let it be known that you were a female, that I was your biggest and most vocal supporter? I still support you in your efforts to make this a better forum.
One of the reasons I started hanging out here was that there was a smart group of people who could carry on technical conversations and add their experience to answer questions. There was the occassional troll, but they were generally harmless. I don't know where the idea that this is a large forum came from, as it's got about 5K registered users. In my book that's still pretty small. The Dodge forum I go to has 27K+, and the Subaru forum that I am a moderator at has over 50K users.
I support this place becoming better, but in reality what has happened is that it has become a prepubescent circle jerk of leg humpers. The technical content has dropped, and those members who seem to have been here more for sharing knowledge and experience don't post nearly as much from what I can tell, if any at all anymore.
I'm trying to help you make this a better place by calling it as I see it. It took a couple of days for people to listen to me about the image attachments. The fact that the racing forum got split up the way it did didn't make sense to me because there was incredibly little traffic amongst the two different areas. Annoyingly lengthy signature text is prohibited here, but images are fine? I see that as a handicap to the forward progression of the board, as a lot of people who come for content get turned off by having to deal with the sigs. Right now only a few are like that, but what about when 10, 15, 100 members have huge sigs? We went through this before as well, and got the members (jeep again) to voluntarily remove the large images.

I think that your problem is that you are using dial up modem, dude thast so frigging slow.......upgrade to cable modem or DSL then that problem will be solved.and please forgive me if I am judging you wrong..
Actually I've got cable and it's plenty fast. What annoys me are the large images. Banner ad sized images, fine. But when you've got a 640x480 or 800x600 image underneath a line of text it makes for a lot more scrolling than really necessary.
