With respect to the Mustangs Plus Grab-A-Track stuff... Call them. I had a boatload of questions and Ron Bramlett ( the owner ) and his son Dave were most helpful. My principal concern was maintaining a stock appearance since I was restoring the car and not going resto-mod. The 1,000.00 ( approx ) that I spent included upper and lower controls arms and ball joints, 4 shocks, front coil and rear leaf springs, front and rear sway bars, bushings , bolts , inner and outer tie rods, sleeves , etc... I'm sure I'm forgetting something but it was a very complete kit.

No problem. By having it on a metal template it would be more accurate and easier to use because you would just bolt the metal template to where the original holes are and not worry about it moving.. The paper is much more flimsy and prone to tear. I used the paper though because the metal template i made sucked, if I did it again I would definatly make a nice metal template.

The kit I suggest is the REAL BIG KIT from American Pony. http://www.americanpony.com/store/store.mv?Screen=PROD&Store_Code=SF&Product_Code=400100-400113&Category_Code= A picture of all the actual components are in their catalog though. Call and ask for the price because the price in the picture and the price on the site is different. I think its around $800 or more.

Even thick aluminum foil would be better than paper, I would think.

I found that paper works fine. You only need it long enough to use a center punch on the new hole location. You will need an odd size drill though. I think it was 17/32. I just used a 1/2 inch and a rattail file. Only had to ream it out 1/32.

WHAT??? You don't have a 17/32 drill bit? I thought everybody had one of those.

I was told to use a 1/2" drill bit because you dont want any play at all in the new holes. I used a 1/2" and the bolts fit the holes perfectly.

The template I posted says to us a 17/32. The nuts keep it plenty tight! I have a lot of drill bits but only up to 1/2 inch. I was to cheap to fork over the 8 bucks they wanted for the 17/32.
