Default 2nd radiator not good either

okay having an awsome day super nice out side no clouds no work no worries so i start work on what i was hoping was the last of my engine bay detailing just hooking up a new starter soleniod and the new radiator ( the second new one ive had) everything was going good except for one of the radiator clips broke but easy fix all hooked up and go to put my tranny lines on... they don't fit. the first radiator i bought was 2 inchs to wide covered the bolt holes so i went back to lordco ,my buddies the preformance guy there so i get huge deals, and they gave me a another one said the frst one i had was for a 67 apparently i dunno if thats bull$^!% if ne1 knows if a 67 has a bigger rad than a 66 lemme no. so now im stuck with a delema i need the car for the 14th do i get new tranny lines or go back and take the risk of it not working again.

The 65-66 and the 67 are different. So, your informant is correct. You need to order a rad to fit your year model whether it be a 2, 3 or 4 row. The tranny cooling lines should hook up if you have the right rad.

Number of rows of cooling passages running from the top to the bottom of the radiator - look inside your radiator cap and (if your coolant is clean) you can see the rows. I got a good three row from Modine for my car after taking the first piece of junk I got at Mustangs Unlimited back to them. Think I got my good Modine from NPD.

Hey Guys,

Just so you don't go chasing something that doesn't exist anymore - Modine sold their aftermarket division to Transpro and Transpro formed a new company called Proliance. I don't know if they're using Modine's Mustang radiators or the old Transpro's. You may luck out and still get a Modine in a Modine/Transpro/Proliance box though.

Later...
