auto or stick? what kind of carb and gears are you running hotrod, with a auto, 600dp, and 3.73's you beat me 4 tenths in the 1/8th, but by 8 tenths in the 1/4. like to know what to do to pull out some elevens

well you definately have a some more beef than me, i just think mine has a lot more potential like it is, better than 12.50 at least. 600dp, victor jr intake, racing head service prepped heads(ky)(1.90/1.60, comp springs, manley valves, comp magnum 1.6 rockers, shaved), decked, .030 bore, lined honed, fully prepped block, stock rods, stock crank, keith black hyper-pistons(ashtrays) 9.1 to 1, rotating assem. balanced, mac 1 3/4 long tubes, crane hi6 box, c4 with 9" 4500 stall, 3.73's. pretty much stock suspension, have sub frames, strut tower, upper and lower lakewood control arms, 4 point cage. what do you see right off that could be some major help. run a holley red pump/mallory reg. still have clutch fan and fan assembly. thanks

suspension is basically stock, stock struts/shocks, no front sway bar, rear has aftermarket control arms, subframes thats about it. cam is a edelbrock rpm with is .496/.520 lift. i can run 92 no problem, but i do run better gas at the track

yeah it hooks good, will spin the tire on rim after a few runs, have dished pistons, not looking to go into motor except for cam, and have cast heads. been ported, 1.90/1.60 valves. 1.6 rockers. i think a lot of it like you said is the cam and carb, top end i seem to lean out

Can I suggest a good plate system? I highly recommend the Wilson Manifolds Pro Flow system. It costs a bit more, but one problem it seems to have solved for me was going lean (not a lot) on the number one and number 8, those with the longest runners in the intake (Super Victor). 88 spray holes in SS spray bars, excellent distribution and no copper corrosion to worry about. They are angle drilled and aimed directly into the runners, close to a fogger system. Wilson also prepped my intake, so that all runners flow within 1/2 %.
Really a nice job by Wilson's on the manifold.

Ron

i dont think your leaning out your motor running out of steam,,,do to small cam,, also limits cam for the tlow compression you have ,,i would sugguest i nos system,,with lower compression you can run more juice,,,

If your'r running out of "oomph" at the top end, sounds to me like you are running out of fuel, not air. What does your fuel delivery sysytem look like?
