new springs r a must when u put in a new cam; but do i really need to put in new lifters? (on a '90 5.0 with 190,000 original miles, but less than 5k miles after engine rebuild)

if they didn't put in new lifter when the rebuilt the engine, then I would change them now for sure after 190,000+ miles. same applies to the heads, did they install new springs at the rebuild or not?

if they did put in new spring check the spring pressure..I would in no way use the abc cams..get one with more lift on the exhaust..also do not get a cam that the lift is based on a 1.7 rocker..get one for a 1.6 then later if you need more lift insted of a cam change you just add 1.7 rockers CRANE,CROWER make alsum cams..to help you choose the right one ..I would been all info of engine ,trans, gear and what you looking to get from the engine

I had an E cam in my car and it sounded NASTY!!!! Lumpy as hell. Worked great with the nitrous too!!!

ive heard several E cams and i would have to say its just a step up over stock... b or f cam would be nice..... but i like crane....
