When I moved my car the other day, I noticed a big stripe of green fluid underneath my motor. I didn't notice anything yesterday but when i got home today I looked underneath the car and I can see the fluid dripping from one of the hoses in the engine compartment from underneath. The fluid is almost a neon green and it almost smells like paint, any ideas what this is? Think its time for some warrenty work!

It's coolant from the cooling system. Take it Ford and have them tighten the clamps, or do it your self. But more importantly, you need to check the fluid level on your coolant resavior.

thanks for the quick responce guys! I checked the resivior and its about an inch below the desired level. So you guys figure its just the clamps? I will take a closer look and see if I can just tighten some stuff. Thanks!

Head over to Autozone/Orielys/NAPA/Whatever pick up a set of car ramps and a gallon of coolant. Drive the car up on the ramps while it's still cool, and crawl under the car with a medium size flat tip screw driver and check the coolant hose clamps. If they are tight, look around and see if you can pin down what else might be the problem. Once you've fixed the problem, top off the resavior to it's propor level. Pat your self on the back and be happy!
From what I saw(I think) the clamps are those spring things...be careful if using ramps on a GT- I dont know for sure, but think the bumper will hit before tire...my floorjack barely fits underneath...Now theres a market noones jumped on yet- longer ramps(low angle) for low cars...I need a set- maybe I'll make some up
I'd suggest you let ford look at it- if you touch it, they might give you a hard time, should something else arise...hope its just a hose though.

i looked at it again, and it kinda looks like its comin from the heater lines. The rad hoses apear to be fine. As for warrenty, can I take it to any ford dealer, and what do I have to all take to the dealer to show its still on warrenty, thanks!

Yeah, I'm with Ren... The new Mustangs use the yellow colored coolant. Though I guess some type of chemical reaction when the coolant is in the process of working can turn green? I don't know.

Any Ford dealer should be willing to do the work for you. As long as your odometer reads less than 36k you shouldn't need to show anything for the work. Just call your local dealer and they'll help you through it
