In all states, except very sunny state like Florida, I BELIEVE that anything under 70% tint on the driver and passenger side windows is Illegal. Now, some Police depts don't enforce it that much. It depends where you live.

Here in LA its 30 percent of light must come through or something like that. Now you can go to a rinky dink place I go to now and keep your windows rolled down . When I first got my car I got busted for the tint, but I made the dealership replace it cuz they didn't tell me it was illegal.

its dif from state to state. the tickets are not bad, and most cops dont care. the problem is that if you like to go to bar after work or whatever, its an easy reason for them to pull you over.

depends on the state law. GA i think its 30% but I have 20% all around. The police really dont care, but I have a buddy that 5% that got pulled over for it.

Sup,

Yes it is different from state to state but the tickets are bad. My friend had 5% all around. Even the front windsheild was 5%. He bought the car from a dealer that way so he never put the tint on. We were on our way to bristol tennessee to do some drag at the track. He got pulled over and got a 275 dollar ticket for his tint. He was told he had 48hours to either pay the ticket or show the judge that he took the tint off either by a picture or actually going to the court house which he had to do.
If i was you i would just keep the legal tint on your car. In TN it is 35% which already came on my car when i bought it and it looks really good. Some cops don't care but you will always have that one ass hole that will pull you over

hope this helps

If you buy a car in one state that has say 40% law and bring it to a 35% state. do you have to change it. I heard that you dont.

Nah, I havent been pulled or sited for a ticket yet. The front window is stock..nothing done to it
and the best part about the tint is...you can pick your burgers at the stoplight and noone will ever know it. LMAO, JK!!!

I basically tinted them that way because I have BLACK LEATHER INTERIOR and come summertime all of you know how hellacious black can be. Also the darker I went with the tint the better it looked with the top and more mean looking the car got!!!
