wow!! hitting 12s!! lookout!!

ive seen a stage 0 srt-4, with a homemade intake, weight reduction, and 15 inch DRs run in the 12s. no "pulley or tuning"...

yes, a slobalt SS may be able to keep up with a stage 0 srt4, but with a good driver, the srt4 will win, yet it may still be close...plus, the srt4 is evidently far more accepting of mods than the cavabalt, because the srt4 crowd, as a whole, is much faster...

I honestly do not know how you became a moderator with a response like that. And please show me a time-slip of that SRT-4's run, because I've PMed four people in the Texas section on the SRT-4 forums who all run 12's about that and they all called BS and one of them even said: "Unless he removed about 400lbs out of his car"

How can you be so narrow minded? I didn't brag about the Cobalt hitting 12's, I was implying how it was a first and a sign of greater things to come. Of course an SRT-4 is going to be "more accepting" of mods because it is turbocharged, not supercharged...there are far more components in a turbo system that can be replaced for something better and more efficient. They've been around since 2003, two years ahead of the game in aftermarket. And where does the SRT-4 even come up in this thread anyway....

I've posted videos, and my timeslips....if you want still want to act like jerk and live in your own little world than do so. I'm done preaching to the choir. You should come over to the forums sometime and post your videos or timeslips...you'll probably get some compliments, not "what a piece of sh*t rustang".

Anyway, I'll leave you with this clip of me racing my buddy Jayson's 04 SRT-4 w/ a MBC and a K&N intake, all I had was an Intake.

http://s52.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=32LE47ELX5B3P0WLC67XXKI4RW

No he's not a sucky driver, considering he ran a 13.85 bone stock. And please don't say it's because he had a passenger because we run all the time and it's always neck and neck regardless of a passenger.

Anyway, it's been great...c'ya at the track! :)

hopefully he shows

yes, the car was completely empty...just a lightweight drivers seat...it was also at a fast track, in cool weather, but still...he had a ghetto intake poking through where the headlight was, a homemade IC cooler, the 15" DRs, and i didnt mention that the exhaust was hacked...sorry...

and how im i going to provide someone else's timeslip? im not an e-racer..i saw him in person, and im not one of these people who will say "ive seen", and mean a video...

you ask all you like, but the fact of the matter is that a car that runs 13.85s, with say a 200lb person in the car, is now closer to a 14.00 car, which is a difference...and im not saying that I could pull better, but there are stock SRT4s running better than 13.85...

and i compared the srt4 to the slobalt because there is no point in comparing an old stock GT mustang to either of those cars...

Cobalts and SRT's (even the SRT8's) don't scare me. Oh yea and Ride your such a tool, how did you ever become a mod I love when they say that, like us mods can't have an opinion and speak our mind about a car, especially a nonner like a Cavabalt SS

The whole point of a being a Moderator with authority is to make a forum an enjoyable place for everyone, not just come up with cute names for other cars. That's probably why this is the laughing stock amongst the Mustang forum community.... You should join the military, it's called leading by example for those who have authority.

Hey that's cool with me, never tried to convert anyones thinking, I posted my 1/8th mile timeslip on $300 in mods so I proved my point that it has potential already.

Mustangs (yes Mustang, not "Rustang" since I'll be mature about it) are the fastest cars in the world bone stock. Screw LS1's, screw SRT's, hell screw the Ford GT! It'll fly, cook your breakfast, and make you think the girl riding shotgun is 200lbs lighter all while running 10's on street tires @ 200mph, and that's only the Non-pi GT's.

Close the thread, you guys win. :)

Wait a sec? Where did I EVER call anyone's Mustang a "piece of sh*t rustang" ?

How are you telling me to practice what I preach? Show me one post where I intentionally poked fun at the Mustang or called anyone on here out because of what kind of car they drive?

EDIT: Look, this what I said:

"You should come over to the forums sometime and post your videos or timeslips...you'll probably get some compliments, not "what a piece of sh*t rustang". "

Stop putting words in my mouth, I meant if he came to the Cobalt forums and posted his timeslips and videos he wouldn't get made fun, he would probably get compliments....So who needs to practice what who preaches?

You must have a magical GT then, because I've never seen a completely bone stock 99-04 GT run that 1/8th mile..I guess there isn't anyone in Houston Performance Driving or Fordpower.net who could drive their stock GT.

Who ever said those times are great?? Show me where I bragged about it? An 8.6X 1/8th mile is at least a mid 13 respectively. Most auto enthusiasts would welcome .5 tenths from $300 in mods...

Seriously, some of you keep thinking I'm trying to say the GT is slower than the Cobalt....that's never been the point.

the thing that get's me pissed off is you guys open up the arguement that it's quicker and such and then you guys say... "oh but only from a roll" ok when you can go to a drag strip and roll up to the christmas tree at 40mph we will call that racing.. untill then it's just a handicap for cars that want to pretend they are fast... and this 1/8 mile crap! It's called a 1/4 mile... that is the only drag length that will test a car in the broad RPM range for a fair run between two cars

One, I have a 2005 GT, not a 99-04. Read my sig dummy. Secondly I saw 8.9 not 8.6. I went back and now I see. I can maybe believe the 8.9 but I don't believe the 8.6. Your cars are running mid to high 14s. I have seen many run. The Cobalt SS IS NOT a low 14 to high 13 sec car.

I also would like to get more info about that Cobalt SS running a 12 with just slicks, pulley, and MAF-T for tuning, im not exactly calling bs, but it seem kind of strange that a Cobalt with only those mods would run a 12, with no motor work or hardly any bolt ons

"The polyurethane control arm bushings made a significant improvement in controlling the wheelhop, and I am able to launch much harder than ever before. This helped bring the 60’ times down, which have a HUGE impact on quarter mile times. With all other factors being equal, reducing your 60’ time from 2.10 to 1.82 seconds (0.28 second) will drop your quarter mile time by approximately double that amount (0.56 second). Now it makes more sense, Tofu's earlier post, he only stated a pulley, slicks, and Maf-T, but now i see that it has a bit more than just those three things, he also left out the fact that it was upgraded to stage 3, i was under the impression that it was just a regular Cobalt SS with pulley, slicks and Maf-T

so was I, I understand now so he smokes mustang GT's with an exhaust package when he put all this money into that... heh no wonder.... on another note... If you upgraded an SRT-4 to a stage 3 and did those mods... you could probably push into 12's with a good hook... maybe be specific next time instead of going on and on.... you wouldn't have gotten flak if you would have stated this... I just got offended and did a whole crap load of research earlier and then I got disgruntled with you guys even claiming a stock SC'ed cobalt can even stay next to us..... because I thought you stated you just had a drop in K&N... and you have to look at it from our perspective under these circumstances...
