just a little tip if u ever race any of them guys nothing there is stock. that Z i beleive gave a WRX STI with alot of work done to it, a nice run. it is supercharged and it's fast. My budy that drives that green 3500 diesel has 2 '77 firebirds and a '77 camaro. one firebird has a built 355 but is a heap, and the other he is restoreing because its a formula. and the comaro is a cherry I-6. he also has a 92 camaro RS, a 87 camaro RS, and now an 83 camaro Z28. so if you ever need parts he's got anything and everything including a turbo 400 auto's and 2 5sp's.

I've seen you there i had the black GT and i'm friends with nick the owner of the white supra and john and nick with the talons and chris with the red talon tsi. you ought to come up i've only seen you one and u didn't stick around too long i don't think.
I've came up a few times with my buddies, although I am the only one who has brought my car up. The other 3 guys I come with are still working on there cars or just dont want to bring them out. One is a Yellow and Black SRT-4, black integra(rebuilding suspension, and putting a bigger turbo on) and a Civic(motor being rebuilt). One night I came and didn't even get out of my car and Nick and some guy with a 350z came up and Nick wanted me to race the 350z, said it was stock but I don't know. My car is gonna stay stock now since im building a 83 Camaro drag car with a 400 small block.

EDIT:I was gonna mod it but i'd rather mod an older v8.

His name Tony?

I was over exhadurating!

I don't believe a stock N/A cobalt can break 16's. Guy that hangs out with us has a supercharged one, he upgraded the pulley and still ran 15 flat, so i speak of experience NEWBIE

Experience huh? I doubt it "newbie". That guy can't drive. I ran a 14.6 at 98 on bald tires with not traction and horrible track conditions bro.

Check slip below.

Didn't read the whole thread...but ironically I just made a compilation video of my SS/SC vs a few of my ford power buddies over the months. It's a big download..

http://s62.yousendit.com/d.aspx?id=243KMSNDXD5ED1N8KOHO3AF9XT

In addition to my video here are my best timeslips so far:

and

1/8th mile...this was w/ my control arm bushings installed to help with wheel hop. Would have easily been a mid 13 E.T. @ HRP if conditions were the same. This was also on stock rubber on stock 18's.

You cobalt boys are still preaching that they run 14.0 stock. That is funny all of the ones I have seen run high 14s at around 95 and 96. The SRT-4 and the 99+ GTs will own you. I want to hear no more Cobalt talk unless you run 12s than I will listen to your bull. Until then no more. All of you are SLOW.

OMG! This thread is still alive???? I've been watching it on/off since page 2!
Here's my numbers..4,000 lb Lincoln 14.80's@92
3,300 lb bone stock GT conv. 14.60's@speedo buried
Runs where made over a 1/4 mile stretch of road using a stopwatch
These aren't exact times but I'm sure are pretty close. Will get them to the strip once it opens

Not bragging but I just have a couple 14 sec cars. some are faster, some are not. I deal with it.
Best part: No car payment

If any of these Cobalt SS owners that talk shiasta on here live anywhere near Milan dragway I'm going to be there this sunday... and if you want to just say the word because I'll make sure I'll come with 500 extra dollars, because I'm that sure a cobalt SS won't keep pace, and I want to stop this jibber jabber once and for all... so if you are absolutely sure you guys are doing like uber flash gorden 9's or whatever you claimed in the 1/4 mile, I'm not... Please, I beg you, help me change my mind by bringing your half and racing my automatic 04 GT with just those few mod's down there... probably not even in the 13's yet... but my 500 bucks still stands....
