tire spin is evil...
today at lunch time i came to a red light and a pal from work pulls up in his 2001 cobra. so i know what he wants to do so we wait for the light to change i let her rip at some where around 4500 and i moved about 2 feet and then SKEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEERT (at this point i realized.. oh yeah my street tires are on today..)! all the way to 6k then i shift and SKEERT FOLLOWED BY A HUGE FISH TAIL! i strighted out but i ended up in the other lane! so now im thinking im just going to keep my radials on lol (i only drive it about 3-4 times a week to and from work, my track visits and an cruise around teh neighbor hood every so often)..

I would definitely consider it. I run on drag radial almost all summer long simply because i'm at the track so often. A set of Nitto's or MT would even be ok in the rain, but my Hoosiers sure aren't worth anything lol

Yeah buddy, im pretty sure 4500 rpms is a bit too much for a launch on street tires that arnt even warm lol. I would have went easy on the launch and eased into it lol. But once boost hits you are sideways. How did the cobra do? I would have thought the cobra would have had the traction issues
