Default FYI-Speed in Gear calculator updated...

In response to a number of requests I have updated my "How Fast Can I Go in Each Gear" calculator to include some additional transmission selections.

Recently added are the Ford AR70W automatic, two TKO-500 models (the TCET4615 and TCET4617), one TKO-600 model (TCET5008), and both the 500 ftlb and 650 ftlb rated T-56 6-speeds.

Also new is a calculated revolutions/mile value for the selected tire size.

Have fun...

I want that TKO-600 TCET5008 tranny--it has a 2.87 1st gear and higher 2nd and 3rd ratios too. That would be perfect with 3.73s or 4.10s here in the flatlands.

On these damned limerock McAdam roads here in FL lunching hard in 1st just leaves me sitting in one spot with the tires spinning. If I don't ride the clutch/play the throttle quite a bit all that happens is I slide forward and slightly sideways for 8 to 10 feet between launching and hitting the rev-limiter...
