This page has some links to clips showing off drone: http://www.tundrasolutions.com/forum...ne-sound-like/
It's not a mustang site, but drone is drone.
I find drone quite annoying myself. I can deal with it for maybe 5 minutes, but after that I'm like ok that's enough.

I've got the Mac axelbacks which I love the sound of. They do drone though. Drone is a low pitch resonance that you not only hear but "feel". It's quite annoying but only happens under 2000 rpm. My solution if to just downshift. I have a hard time driving under 2000 rpm anyway, you just can't accelerate from there (at least in a way that makes me grin)

its that hollow sound at around 2k or 2100 rpms up to about 24-2500 rpms, before you get to the good part of the exhaust when it starts rumbling. some mufflers are worse than others. i think it is mostly due to the mufflers rather than other components of the exhaust.

RE: What exactly is "DRONE"
off topic: What is the "Boomtube crew"? Is that a special club where you guys get together and talk about how great your mufflers are? Are there SLP crews, Corsa crewsand Borla crews too or is this phenomenon unique to these mufflers?
