I know I'm a girl answering this, but I wear both. More so the thongs for everyday under my jeans, but boy shorts are awesome too. I like them because they're comfy and they make my butt look flattering.

I don't like boyshorts....

Thongs are greate, but I like other skimpy panties as well... especially the ones that are near thongs but not quite... high thin waistband exposing a lot of hip.
