Those are some beautiful components you'll be putting into that project of yours. I love the BOSS engine, trans and rearend. If you want I'll send you my 69 Sportroof to put it in to make sure it all works okay.
I've got subframe connectors and a rollcage ready to weld in next week. That's the first thing after the body sheet metal is set. I wouldn't want to be driving down the road, get on it, and suddenly see the back end pass the front end!

Hey, my whole life is a fake!
Well, now that's a bit of a sensitive subject. Here is my garage:
This plus the GT40, my daughter's Mazda, and my MB makes for tight quarters. I live on the beach, so space is even more precious. I finally broke down and sold the coupe. The wife's M3 convertible is next on the block (do you know anyone who wants to buy a 2003 BMW M3 with 43k miles?).
To keep peace in the house, I can't bring the shells home until next week and then I will post a bunch of pictures.

Hey, my whole life is a fake!
You can't tell if a '66 was a GT through the VIN, although I believe a GT only came with either the A or K code engine. Of course, I would know and could never misrepresent my car. A Shelby is a whole different story. This one and the '68 will always be known by me as clones.
You're right, the "M" in my VIN is the engine code, not Mach1. Good thing we have a Marti report to rely on.
Now for a little secret, both of these Mustangs were coupes. Dynacorn panels were welded on to replace the roof back and any damaged or rusty panels. Theses are virgin sheet metal, rust free, titled bodies. Yes, the serial number may say coupe, but I don't really care, in my book they are both clones.
Check out the sheet metal. No rust and nice clean panels to work with. Of course I have all the bolt on parts that do need work (cleaning, blasting, and painting):
Today, I welded sub frame connectors in and tomorrow the roll bar goes in and I'll cut the sail panel vents out for the Shelby style windows. I love this stuff!

Just wondering for the 68 why did do the conversion of the coupe instead of using the dynacorn fastback body? As I would thought the work on the coupe would be comparable to the shell.
