Default Split port swap...Head ache or worth it?

I want the 40 horsepower, but do not want to boost it yet.
I want to know if I do a split port swap, and later, I want more power and have the money, would a m112 fit with the kit they have, or would I need to change anything else besides the hood, fuel pump, injectors, and maybe fuel lines?

if this will work like stated above, there is a potential 80 hp gain correct? (with tune)

split port swap isnt too bad. just make sure you have all the parts. if you do the swap, then yea all you need to put an m112 on top is the adapter, the blower, and all the supporting mods.

You'll get the stated 40 hp. The m112 can add up to 100 hp easy with a really, really good tune. The best part about the m112 is that it's a roots blower (sits right on top of the intake manifold) and you'll get instant boost and instant torque. torque > hp FTW. Just find a junkyard new edge for the swap and you might need a tune afterwards, so factor that in as well.

if you find the parts for a good price 500 sounds right but im not sure how much a tune will cost you .. and that is saying you know how to and are going to do the work on your own

I'd also get the intake port matched and do the heads. Might as well get a few extra ponies while you're at it, becasue while 40 hp sounds like a lot, trust me, in the end you'll still be left being unsatisfied. As stated, might as well go for the best gains. The upside is Sn-95s had a slightly more aggressive cam than the edges, so you'll gain a little more than the base 40 hp, but again, perform a port match job and have a machine shop port match and perform a valve angle job on the heads and you could easily get another 20 or so added ontop of that 40.

ok, that sounds like a good idea. I do plan on doing the work myself. Now all I have to do is do it. Hopefully it will not take me forever to get the motivation to do it
