hello i am here lookin for some help .on my 2000 stang 3.8 with 420,000.00 miles on it. under the hood has been untouched . besides plugs and oil i did put in a new clutch because the throw out bearing took a crap . the clutch disc still looked like new. my qustion is is this motor internally balanced or externally. this is a 5 speed stick will a 3.8 motor with a automatic work and what year motors will fit

Holy sh*T! 1999-2004 will work. And the yeah the tranny will bolt up to the engine.

Any complete 1994-2004 motor will fit. lol If you want a complete motor that will have your current hp output then use any of the 99-04 motors. They are all the same motor with minor things added or taken off that do not change how long they last or anything major.

that is right 420,000.00 miles .7000 miles between oil changes and i will lose 1/2 a quart. i have not even changed the belt or battery yet. under the hood untouched .like i said gota love this car

i bought this new 8 yrs. ago i drive to work and back 206 miles a day 6 to 7 days a week

hell yeah time to move! God how much is your gas bill? I believe that enigine is externally balanced...someone correct me if Im wrong.
